Breaking: Americans vote to defund UNFPA!
You did it!
I reported 2 weeks ago that the House GOP leadership was launching Phase II of its YouCut program, wherein Americans would be asked to vote weekly for 1 of 3 government programs they’d like to see cut from the budget.
One of YouCut’s 1st 3 choices was the pro-abortion United Nations Population Fund, which supports China’s 1-child policy of forced abortions and sterilizations. Pro-lifers worked hard to spread the word to vote to defund UNFPA.
And yesterday the GOP Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (NC-2) announced UNFPA as that week’s winner!

The House GOP’s freshman class is running Phase II, and Rep. Ellmers will now carry the ball on defunding UNFPA by introducing legislation. Track progress here. Where it’s at now…
This vote was important not just on its face but also to encourage the GOP that the abortion issue is important.
Additionally, our vote gives the GOP political reinforcement. It adds pressure on President Obama and the Democrat-controlled Senate to defund UNFPA.

It’d be nice if this had the possibility of passing/being signed. $400 million to support FORCED abortion and human abuses in China? That’s not right AT ALL! We should not be sending OUR tax money to kill children in the womb in other countries. $400 million could (instead) be used for defenses or better weapons for our military or to help with Social Security for the elderly and disabled.
Look into what this program really is before speaking out against it. Better yet, GO TO A DEVELOPING NATION!!! Ask Women there if they would like help with contraception and family planning.
Beyond that, this is hilarious.
