Breaking: State shuts down notorious abortion mill indefinitely
I’ve written many times (such as here, here, and here) about the bizarre abortion mill in Rockford, Illinois, a place known to have displayed a hanging rubber chicken in a window and whose owner has taunted pro-lifers while dressed in a devil costume.
Conditions inside the mill were known to be as deplorable as on the outside, according to women the local pro-life group spoke with after leaving.
Now, finally, the IL Department of Public Health has shut down the Northern Illinois Women’s Center mill indefinitely. According to MyStateline.com:
According to the suspension notice, “The department found conditions at the facility that are a direct threat to the public interest, health, safety and welfare requiring immediate, emergency action.”
The health department cites numerous alleged violations.
According to records obtained by Rockford’s Pro-Life Initiative, all three operating rooms failed safety inspections, equipment used to sterilize medical instruments failed tests, the clinic failed a requirement that a registered nurse must always be in the operating room, and shoes were stored inside an open box of surgical gloves.

Importantly, this mill is located near the Wisconsin state line, conveniently located for minors wanting to avoid Wisconsin’s parental involvement law. Thankfully, that gateway is now closed.

good one less mill. you guys should see abortionist martin ruddocks clinic. we call him murdering marty. there are deep pot holes in his parking lot. there are holes in the windows. i wouldnt take a sick dog there. hes a total nut job and shouts pu__y at one pastor while flipping him the bird. we pulled a public records report on him. one woman had to have an emergency hysterectomy after he hacked her up. another women complained that he called her at work and at home to “see how she was feeling after the abortion” he called so much she had to file harassment charges. he was lookin for sex. then he almost butchered an obese aa woman and called 911 and screamed “i cant stop the bleeding i want her out of here”!!! how much more lord? how much more?
It is amazing, is it not? If this was a clinic to treat our precious dogs and cats it would have been out of business long, long ago.
I guess we can say better late then never and we are happy it is shut down. The myth that Roe v. Wade would end back alley abortions is exposed as fraudulent once again. Actually, Roe v. Wade made abortions more dangerous–at least doctors back then had to be very concerned about making sure their clients wouldn’t end up in an emergency room or morgue. The worse this ”doctor” will see is a fine of some sort, if that.
We see the true face of abortion “rights” in the deplorable conditions in Rockford and in many other hellholes that have been shut down over the years. You can be sure if it was not for the continued activism of the pro-life movement exposing this seamy industry for what it is there would no standards enforced anywhere.
We live in the Rockford diocese and PRAISE GOD that this disgusting clinic is no longer operating. How many lives will be spared? God is so good!!!

Good riddance to another quack and shoddy clinic! I just checked the blogsphere and not a single peep from pro-choicers on this, although I’m sure they will try to find a scapegoat and try to blame the horrible conditions of this clinic & poor medical practice on pro-lifers like they did with Gosnell. Legalizing abortion didn’t end illegal abortions, they just moved to practicing out in the open! Also it opened a flood gate for abortion providers of all types to practice, with the backing of their political supporters and without the fear of prosecution.
The devil costume ain’t the half of it! If you folks follow Jill’s links, you’ll find these nutjobs have done everything from hit a praying protester with a car to lynching three rubber chickens (in a predominantly African-American neighborhood, no less!).
With the hard-core pro-aborts, access trumps everything else … including the most basic health and safety protections. This is why they fought so hard against the Virginia law earlier this year; if 3 out of 4 clinics were like Kermit Gosnell’s, they’d keep them open simply so the Great Western Atrocity could continue unabated.

Personally, a heartfelt thank you to all the women from the Silent No More Awareness Campaign who devoted many hours standing outside the mill praying and counseling the women toward life. Wow, at the news article, when faced with the deplorable conditions of this clinic, all the pro-choice commenters can do is plug their ears and say, “I don’t believe you!” and/or scream and rant “Abortion is the law of the land!” “Abortion a legal right!” “Men don’t have a say!” while continuing to defend abortion rights and abortion providers, but turn a blind eye to and refusing to address the issue of sub par clinics and women who’ve been injured at these clinics, which seems to me to be a diservice to women.

@ rachael c. our local abortionist has also tried to mow over sidewalk prayers. hes jumped out of his lexus most of the time to rant and rave at us. he always calls pastor d. a pu__y. probably because he is there the most. the public record showed that the woman who needed the hysterectomy sued and won a million bucks. he denies this and says we are making it up. his nurse portia heads in and flips the bird too. then nurse caroline has drunk driving plates. one day she must have had a lucid moment and came out by us. we waited for the fur to fly but she asked the pastor “can i have a hug”? gasp* unfortunatly she went back into the mill and returned to her evil ways. cursing. flipping the bird. etc.
@ all operation rescue reported martin ruddocks clinic for health code violations. nurses werent taking vital signs filth the doctor didnt have any emergency contracts with surrounding hospitals but my pl group told me that the clinic never ever closed! i cant believe women can even trust a place like this to have surgery.
should say that op rescue reported the clinic closed……but it never did.
I think that’s the abortion mill owner in the devil costume. Unless he repents, he’ll find that to be his actual wardrobe one day.

We had an abortionist in Phoenix who would put on costume glasses with an extension over the nose of the male anatomy to taunt those praying outside his clinic. He was arrested as 60 women came forward to tell of him molesting and assaulting them as he performed the abortion. He was convicted on 22 counts, sentenced to 34 yrs and lifetime probation.
I wouldn’t say that they have women’s best interest in mind…
Haunted house performances pop up this time of year. But this reminds us there are just as many really scary places operating year-round.

I’ve been following the stories from this place for years and it gives a very cold chill up and down my spine everytime I read and/or re-read the articles.
