Rapper Jay-Z releases song about birth of daughter Blue Ivy with wife Beyonce
Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you’d disappear/But nah baby you magic….
The most amazing feeling I feel/Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real
Maybe I paint the sky blue/My greatest creation was you. You. Glory.
~ Lyrics from Jay-Z’s new song, “Glory” released this weekend after the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy, with wife Beyonce, as quoted by Yahoo! News, January 9

It’s times like these that I’m so glad to have had parents who were typical, financially struggling midwesterners with common sense.
I wouldn’t want these divas to ever be my parents. First, don’t need a 2,200 sq. ft. nursery. Many people in the U.S. don’t even have a home that’s 2,200 sq. ft. – and they need it with the size of their family. Second, this child (and possibly other future children) will want for nothing, having the silver spoon inserted right from out of the womb which is not a good place to be to develop the right type of character. Finally, these two divas booted out a whole floor of other new parents from seeing their children at the hospital so Beyonce could deliver in privacy. One of the parents had a child in the ICU (or something similar, can’t remember exactly), yet couldn’t see their child for a stretch of time. I wonder if the hospital has opened itself to a lawsuit because of these two stupid divas.

Just wish he could make a song about the miracle of his daughter without the potty mouth.

It is a darn shame that the parents of the preemies in NICU were not given the time to spend with their ill babies. I think it is wonderful that they are so happy about their baby. But, so were the parents of those babies that were not allowed to see their parents.

Thank you others who pointed out… these elitists prevented other parents and family from rejoicing over the births of THEIR “commoner” children. They took over the whole floor and closed down the NICU and other parents were forced to stay in their rooms and family not in the hospital were prevented from accessing the floor to see THEIR newborn family members. Disgusting.
If they wanted privacy, why didn’t Beyonce just birth at home? Goodness knows they have the space and the money to hire the best to attend to the birth.

its a shame because i heard that beyonce started out a sweet humble girl. as they climb the ladder of fame the snobbier they become. i do congratulate them on the birth of their daughter but i know they were huge obama supporters. who cares about other dead babies. we can afford ours. jay z came to cleveland when lebron james was here and the 2 of them raised money for obama. i havent felt the same about jay z since then. and good riddance to lebron jones ( lol james ) miami heat you can have him!

Happy about their new baby. And all new babies.
If it’s true that they kicked out other families, and even prevented a family from seeing a child in the NICU, that’s really lame behavior. And I’d not hesitate to bring action against a hospital willing to go along with that.
Seriously, there’s no group so embarrassingly tacky as the New Rich.

Beyonce and jay z didn’t kick anyone out. They assumably paid the hospital who decided to close down to the public. If any one deserves critisim it’s the hospital not the private consumers who paid their own money for a good a third party offered

true the hospital is to blame if this happened. celebrities bleed read like everyone else. its just that their money can buy them things that the average person cant afford.

They might not have even known that when they paid the hospital to reserve a floor for their privacy that they were preventing others from visiting their infants. I wouldn’t judge them for that.

I’ve always considered rap to be dirty nursery rhymes - without their cleverness. This isn’t exactly a good lullaby he dedicated to this baby.

Shannon, while true they personally didn’t kick anyone out they paid the hospital to do so and the hospital did. So shame on the hospital too. And Beyonce’s bodyguards stood at the door to the floor turning family members away (grandparents, fathers etc…) who came to see their newborns.
As a pregnant woman just months away from birthing my baby, I place myself in the shoes of these new parents and I feel incensed! The hospital shouldn’t be “rented” out. Everyone should be allowed to birth there and see their babies. If it wasn’t good enough “as is” for princess Beyonce she should have birthed at one of her multi-million dollar mansions and hired doctors and midwives and doulas to attend her. Then she would have had all the privacy she demanded without putting out other people who also want to enjoy the precious births of their children.

Heather, do you mean their HOME has a 2200 sq. foot nursery? If so, I don’t care. It’s their money, and they can do what they want with it. That sounds kind of “OWS” if you don’t like that the nursery is that big.
Anyway, how nice that Beyonce considers her child and her child’s birth to more more important than others.
Not only that, she also thinks her LIFE is above others! Her clothing line business hosted that “Party Like a Rock Star” benefit for Scammed Parenthood in Houston.

Apparently, abortion is glamorous. *gag*

The story circulating the internet is that a father was trying to see his TWINS in the N.I.C.U, and the bodyguards wouldn’t let him past them to get to the N.I.C.U.

Supporting Obama and rejoicing over birth. Isn’t that a contradiction?

Heather, I don’t even understand you sometimes. You come up with the most insane celebrity gossip and then attribute it to their feelings on abortion? If Madonna did IN FACT “go after” Chris Martin (and what a weird story that is….) then she didn’t owe it to Gwyneth not to do that just because they’re both pro-choice. She owed it to her if they were friends – pro-choice or pro-life. This “so much for pro aborts being loyal to each other” is the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard. We’re all people, right? Fallible and all.

And abortion, no, I wouldn’t say it’s a contradiction. More than half the country voted for Obama in 2008 and I’m sure every single one of them has celebrated at least one birth in their life. How dare you say that their celebrations are any less valid than someone that voted for Mccain.

Elizabeth, I think its a contradiction because abortion PREVENTS birth and here is the most pro-abortion president ever, forcing states to fund abortion giant Planned Parenthood even when they have voted not to (NH) and also voting for death for infants who are born alive after abortion (he voted for this as a senator). So yes, I would say voting for Obama and then celebrating birth is ironic and VERY contradictory.

Sydney, I absolutely agree with you. Obama sees the unborn as wanted or mistakes, when WE KNOW, without a shadow of a doubt, that babies have their very own intrinic value.
So Elizabeth, I dare too.

elizabeth i dont think thats so wierd. madonna had 11 abortions and paltrow is a planned parenthood pimp. if you would kill babies and not feel bad then why on earth would you care about stealing your best friends husband?

besides since the topic was about a celebrity so i believe the floor is open for celeb comments;)

@heather: Let’s be fair. It makes no sense to say that Elizabeth’s only available response to you is to request the deletion of a post that isn’t breaking any rules. You weren’t presenting a strong argument, and Elizabeth was perfectly reasonable in pointing that out. That does not equate to her demanding her way. She is neither posting the same thing over and over and over, brainlessly, like Jan did, nor is she making unsupported assertions and claiming she doesn’t need to provide foundation for them because they’re ~*PHILOSOPHICAL*~ the way Duck was. Her post to you was a perfectly reasonable post and it asked perfectly reasonable questions.
…Granted, the 6:24 PM post was more problematic, but Sydney responded to it very neatly, I think. I keep trying to like your post more than once, Sydney, but the site won’t let me. ;)

What I have read about Jay-Z and his involvement with “bad spirit” circles (let’s just say) greatly disturbs me. His wife is a partaker now, too. Keep your kids away from adoring that couple.
No, you won’t go to hell if you listen to their music, but, still, it is getting more and more disturbing what strange beliefs so many celebreties ascribe to. (or none at all of course).
Find me a good Christian in Hollywood and I will show you someone who gets regularly mocked and their talents not used. (ps – Mel Gibson going off the deep end did not help, I admit)
