There is no doubt that the very nature of faith means that some of our beliefs will never be the same. We read from different texts. We follow different edicts. We subscribe to different accounts of how we came to be here and where we’re going next – and some subscribe to no faith at all.
But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate. There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.

It’s not what’s on the outside that defiles a man but what is on the inside. Obama is full of arrogance and decension. His God is himself. He is the great Philistine, daring someone to come fight him and he is defying the Living God..the real one! and justice will fall for a man who has come against God and sought to destroy this great nation. He may speak in “god’s name” but our God is not with him. His arrogance will be his undoing.
I will no longer be a pawn in his game. and the sooner voters figure this out…the better.

He’s the President of the United States, and he has no clue of the horrors that await him if he persists in his unrepentant state.

Oh? I had thought that President Obama had claimed to be of the same faith as I, i.e. he was a Christian. And faith is not the evidence of things not heard; it is the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11:1). Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Rom. 10:17). And the Word of God says that we came from Adam who came from God. If we are saved by the Christ, then He is our representative, and we are going to be with Him.
President Obama said, “Let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate.”
Oh? The protoevangelum, i.e. the gospel in miniature, is Genesis 3:15. There God told Satan (and Adam and Eve), “I will put hatred between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you on the head, but you will bruise Him on the heel.” The good news is that God can again be our friend–and Satan our enemy–through the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, a true descendant of Adam and Eve. If we love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength; then we hate Satan, the worldly system, and our old sinful self with just as much fervour. No man can have two masters.
Redemption for Eve would come through fulfilling her God-given purpose, i.e. helping Adam by raising up an eventual seed in the perfect image of God who would defeat the great enemy, Satan. Bearing and nurturing children is still the important calling of most Christian women. It is a major way in which the Kingdom of God is advanced.
Oh the irony. There is a God who condones the taking of innocent life. One famous example: “put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey”—animals too! The taking and offering of human lives, innocent and/or not, continues to be a fundamental theme in the New Testament and beyond.

There are times when I have sat back and watched long debates on theology and scripture on this very site. Wait, a few years ago, this was above his pay grade. I think he meant to say “condemns” instead of “condones”. Very confusing statement from a man who supports legal abortion.
The fact that God made Eve from Adam’s rib has great significance, Reality. She is next to his heart. He should love her. If you are married, do you love your wife?

Facts are true! I am a creationist. (Fact might not have been the best word choice. People these days have a harder time believing in an objective meaning to language.)
Some Christians allow for or even believe in theistic evolutionism, but our differences do not therefore mean that the Bible is fallible. Our differences mean that some of us, at least, are wrong on any single point of difference. Except for prophecies concerning the future, where there are often multiple fulfilments, I think that holy Scripture has only one correct interpretation (though often many correct applications).

Whether Eve came from Adam’s rib implies that she is an appendage should hardly matter to someone who imagines that women and men both come from discardable tissue.
Wow, the hypocrisy. Darned STUPID hypocrisy. It’s idiotic when religion poses something that you take as a diminished view of where women came from. But that we ALL come from something that’s of so little importance that it’s just dandy for women to pay mercenaries to destroy it — no biggie.

Why would coming from a rib imply less dignity than coming from a pairing of sperm and egg?
This isn’t a question about what actually happened long ago. It’s a fundamental question about a complete logical disconnect that I’d guess comes from weird anti-religious bigotry. It’s difficult to intuit other possible causes of such a blind spot.
I mean, Adam came from DIRT, by the same account. But that Eve came from a living human — well, that’s not good enough.
