Romantic comedy involving abortion not exactly romantic
The Sundance Film Festival this January will feature a film focused on an abortion. The romantic comedy Obvious Child follows Donna, a young woman who gets fired, dumped, and pregnant all before Valentine’s Day. Unlike the lead characters in Juno and Knocked Up, Donna chooses to abort her baby.
The abortion, the crux but not focus of the film, is her attempt to “make better choices,” according to the film’s promotional page on Kickstarter.com.

Oh yes, A “failed” attempt to make better choices…
It’s not gonna get her job back, or her boyfriend, and it won’t make her “un-pregnant”, only post-abortive. But I’m sure the movie will show a rosy/happy life as soon as the baby is aborted and the woman has no regrets. Ever. Right?

Well this is movie I wont be seeing. Just boycott. Abortion is so unpleasant most film makers are hesitant to put it in their films and rightfully so. A box office bomb I predict. And also her character has an abortion. Shes an actress who probably never aborted. Naturally she will probably smile after leaving the clinic and life will return to normal. BOYCOTT!

Romantic comedy or a movie about murder? How do romance and abortion equate?

Guaranteed they won’t show her choosing to not have sexual intercourse with the “wrong guy”.
The real name of the movie – “Oblivious Child”

Romantic? Certainly not the love that God shows you. There is nothing romantic about being led to Hell on earth and, possibly, Hell in the hereafter! Remember that when someone is trying to lead you astray. They do NOT love you. At best they lack the knowledge of what sin is and what true love is all about. Lots of prayer is needed.

Or the real name could refer to the true victim in the story and be called – “Obliviated Child”

Well I guess it does say something when said film is a fringe indie project that is still needing to be funded (the link leads to a Kickstarter page), and is all of 20 minutes long. I doubt such a film would go over well with a mainstream audience, for good reason.
Happy New Year to everyone!

Another propaganda film.
Disdain from pro-lifers is the only attention they will get.
If you want to enjoy a beautiful 20-minute independent short film that you’ll watch over and over again, buy Crescendo.

As I look over the description of the “comedy” again, I have come to suspect that it is just a short rehash of Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
