Pro-life daily vid: Gamer parents charged with neglect of baby
by Kelli
A new HBO documentary examines South Korea’s gaming culture in light of a couple who starved their child due to a gaming addiction. From People.com:
Plenty has been made of South Korea’s fixation with online culture, most visible in the marathon sessions of games like Starcraft.
But a new HBO documentary is focusing on a different aspect of the country’s gaming culture: The death of one couple’s 3-month-old baby from malnutrition in 2009 while they played an online game in six-to-12-hour binges.
The horrible irony of the story? The game they were playing involved caring for a virtual child.

WOW!!!! Just WOW!!! The Bible tells of people with vain imaginations, without natural affections, immoral, ungodly, perverse, etc. Do you notice some people would rather parent a dog and call it their “baby” than having a human baby? I am not talking about normal dog-lovers here. Their minds are so twisted an animal or in this case a video game child deserves more attention and care than their own flesh and blood. Someone want to guess what the defense of this couple will be, how it will not be their fault, they have an illness, they could not help themselves, it will be someone else’s fault (the video game industry maybe), etc. God help this world.
Prolifer L Ive heard and seen people call animals their kids. It kinda disgusts me that some people are so attatched to pets like a human. Ik a woman who dots on her dogs to the point where its almost sickening. Shes a conservative and I think shes wonderful but these dogs and cat have destroyed her beautiful condo by peeing on the carpet and shedding on her couches. She doesnt want kids and thats fine because shes not aborting to keep it that way. Ive just never become attached to an animal that way. Thats why I dont have one. And PETA people are just strange. Im anti animal abuse but those animal commercials dont tug at my heart strings. Especially knowing most of those animal advocates value animals over children.
I agree heather there is a line between loving human babies and loving pets. There is a difference. I find it strange most animal advocates can protest animals being abused (which I am definitely against btw) but they are just fine with the “search and destroy mission” of mutilation and vacuum suctioning of human babies through abortion.
