(Not so) pro-life vid of day: Baby can be killed until cord cut
by Hans Johnson
As the summer winds down for those in Created Equal’s Justice Riders, they will be returning to school with a great deal of experience debating pro-choicers. Here is a noble effort by Director of Training Seth Drayer, trying to convince a woman that we must at the very least consider mother and child different human beings after birth. See how she answers that:

This is a prototypical, normal discussion with someone in the cult-thinking of accepting abortion. As soon as you directly identify the illogic in their thinking, a red flag goes off in their mind that their cult-thinking world is threatened.
They cannot respond by carrying on some normal discussion.
They cannot.
These two people could have gone around the point a bit and come to some mutual acknowledgement of each other’s views.
But the woman cannot go there. She has been brainwashed to 1. believe her beliefs are superior 2. believe her adoption of her belief system makes her morally superior and special 3. any threat to the thought-structure that threatens to tumble this house-of-cards must be avoided 4. she turns the discussion from one of whether a child is being killed or not – our single pro-life point – to one of the guy being dishonest or tricky by “exaggerating” – what did he exaggerate? How long an umbilical cord might reach?
Very few females are interested in killing their just-born baby. But it does happen, as a scan of the news can attest, and a portion of women will kill that child at that point in life if it is in the womb rather than out, and there is a major political movement devoted to preserving the legality of this act.
This there is no “exaggeration.”
So, the cult member must follow the rules of her cult: get emotional, do name-calling, and/or walk away in a state of smug, superior disdain.
–Sadly, I have to beg my wife to avoid talking to certain family members about the cherished cult sacraments because they are programmed to respond only in this manner.
Well-said, “TLD”
Once the Shallow Thinker gets into Deep Waters, they have a tendency to flail their arms, gasp for air, and attack their Rescuer. This can happen to anyone who has been programmed to call good evil and evil good. But anyone with the physical capability to do so may learn to swim in Deep Waters.
I pray that woman will go home and do some Deep Thinking, and that her Rescuer will appear to her.
How appropriate that this exchange ended with a “talk to the hand” gesture. They just don’t want to let their mind go to the truth.
What about delayed cord clamping? It’s pretty common these days to wait a few minutes before cutting the cord, for health/iron reasons. Should it be legal to kill a baby whose mother opts to delay clamping, for several minutes longer than it’s legal to kill a baby whose mother chooses a more traditional immediate cutting? What if a woman CHOOSES to delay cord clamping and then CHOOSES to kill the baby two minutes later, while he’s resting on her chest?
Last Democrat, I feel your pain, since most of my immediate family is in the pro-death cult, and their ideas of who is or is not “fit” to live extends to the intellectually disabled, particularly people with Down Syndrome. I’m not a big fan of Sarah Palin, but they really hate her, partly because she gave birth to Trig. There’s no use arguing with them unless I want deal with them rolling their eyes, shaking their heads, and making personal attacks, so when they start talking this crap I just leave the room.
If the baby inside the woman is a boy, does that mean his penis is her penis?
Great comments because I can relate. I dont have a big family at all. My problem has been seen with co workers friends and aquantances. Yes I do have liberal friends but when we get around each other we dont ” go there “… also some of my patients are liberal. I say nothing.TLD put it best as to why I dont. Years ago ( right before I turned 30 ) I was driving in the car with my friends mom. We passed a pL display at PP and although I was PL nobody knew. Suddenly she slowed down rolled down her window and shouted ” Why dont you adopt a few”!!!!!! The group ignored her. Young and old children and babies. They kept walking. Maybe months later my girlfriend casually mentioned that her mother was post abortive and my friennd was PC as well. I remember the mom rolled up the window and cursed for a few blocks muttering hypocrites and how dare they?? To this day she is still PC. There is no reaching some.
Abortion has probably created more atheists than any other single act of government.
As most Pro Lifers are Christians, and Christians haven’t yet ended all human suffering, when a Pro Life display upsets an atheist or a PC person, the atheists don’t have God to blame, and the PC persons don’t want to blame government, so they blame the Christians who are standing there instead of God. This makes me believe that atheists really believe God exists. If they didn’t believe He exists, they wouldn’t blame Christians for all the suffering in the world, or turn to them and ask, in essence, why they haven’t ended all suffering in the world. “Why don’t you adopt a few”!!!!!
The PC person slides into atheism through force of habit in blaming Christians for being offensive to government.
The PC, anti-Christian media don’t help the cause of God’s innocent images being led to slaughter, either. Airing any confrontation between Pro Lifers and irate bystanders, the PC media invariably call us “anti-abortion,” or “anti-choice.” This implies that Christians should support abortion and the government that enables it. Shallow thinkers then assume God is different from those who are standing against abortion, and, by extension, the government. As no one wants to be against “choice” or government, the shallow thinker has to rationalize. The rationale would lead to atheism as the only way to not be against government and the supposed common good it supports.
Doc Kimble…your comments are right on spot as well! Boy was she fuming. Fit to be tied. Pro lifers DO adopt! I also remember being at work once annd a group of about 6 girls were huddled together talking about their abortions. Someone in the group threw a zinger my way and I didnt feel like debating that day. I said ” I dont believe in abortion.” The peanut gallery fired up and they said “YOU Dont believe in ABORTION”? My pal saw the look of semi panic on my face and grabbed my arm. She said “Come sit with us Heather …all they want to talk about are dead babies.” I sat down with 3 girls…all of us anti abortion. Then one shot ” Well I had one so I guess that makes me a BAAAAD person.” Stretching out the word bad. We ignored them and eventually the topic changed.
heather: It seldom occurs to atheists and secularists (but I repeat myself) that the reason Pro Lifers stand for healing rather than killing and reconciliation rather than regret is because Jesus took on the job of healing the world through his death so we may be reconciled to God, whom we offend first. There’s always blame to be shared out, and we all could do better, but we can’t change the world and save anyone; only God can do that. What else would a good God do, anyway? With grace, we can change through faith and works meet for repentance. There is no other way. But at least He made a way.
