Jessa Duggar Seewald and husband eager to adopt
We hope to adopt a lot of kids. If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it’s not going to quench our desire to adopt.
~ Newlywed Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, opening up about her and husband Ben’s plans to adopt, People, February 18

That’s awesome! I wish more people would have a mix of biological and adopted kids. If every couple would adopt at least one child, there’d be no orphans.
Is that so she can match or exceed her parents proliferation without having to endure quite so many confinements?
Boy Reality…you’re so bitter. If we have babies we’re chastised by the dead-babies-r-us folks. We’re told how selfish we are to have babies and not just kill them. If we adopt we’re still chastised! So in your view WANTING children is the fundamental no-no? Do you just really hate babies that much? What’s your deal?
Get off your high horse Sydney M. It was a tongue in cheek question, not bitterness.
If we have babies we’re chastised by the dead-babies-r-us folks. – are you now. I don’t chastise you. There is no ‘dead-babies-r-us’ folks. Some anti-choicers also express reservations about vast families.
So in your view WANTING children is the fundamental no-no? – hardly. I am a parent, just like most pro-choicers. Talk about overwrought!
Do you just really hate babies that much? What’s your deal? – I love babies. My deal is that I don’t interfere in others lives. How about you?
Jessa is by far the most beautiful of the daughters, certainly the most photogenic.
Quick, Reality, someone said something positive about big families! Come up with something that knocks them down a peg!
Oh, excellent. That will do the trick! See if she expresses a desire to do a good thing again!
I really think there’s a little overreaction to Reality’s comment, which as he says was “tongue in cheek”.
He said nothing bad about them, he didn’t criticize. Its entirely possible Jessa does not want as many pregnancies but would like a very large family. So what??
Lighten up folks.
I hope they will consider adopting from foster care instead of going to agencies and adopting healthy infants. There’s a huge amount of people wanting healthy infants, but very few who will adopt older kids.
I hope she makes a few different decisions than her parents.
Quick, Reality, someone said something positive about big families! Come up with something that knocks them down a peg! – why? Knocking people down a peg or to seems more of an anti-choice thing from my observation.
