Inspections unfair, says owner of IL abortion clinic where patient died
I tried to help women to get legal abortions.
If someone wants to work against that, there’s nothing I can do.
~ Abortion clinic owner Larisa Rozansky (pictured right), whose now-closed Women’s Aid Clinic owes (and has thus far refused to pay) $36,000 in fines for the death of patient Antonesha Ross, as well as for more than 15 other violations found by Illinois state health inspectors, as quoted by the Chicago Tribune, February 16
Rozansky has reopened under a new (but similar) name, thereby attempting to skirt the fines.

Actually, there are several things you could do.
For example, you could pay your criminal fines. You could clean up your clinic and comply with common standards of medical care. You could hire trained and professional nurses and abortionists — who won’t maim and kill women.
You could even do fund-raising and operate your business as a charitable service — if you can find any donors who will support you.
Or…. You could spend time in jail for contempt of court, see your wages and assets garnisheed, and file for bankruptcy.
You have lots of options.
Obviously in her case “legal” does not equal safe. How is it a legal abortion when you are not complying with the law?
She looks awfully sweet for a serial killer.
I’m happy to agree with her mind set though. If she believes there is nothing she can do, amen, get out of the business forever.
No more abortions.
Her comments, to me, demonstrate that the real motivation behind “helping women get abortions” is not actually to help women – no matter how much they claim it is.
You are not helping women by refusing to keep your baby-killing enterprise up to the code that the law requires, thereby putting their safety at risk. You aren’t helping women by refusing to pay for the death of a patient, instead opening another facility.
This is not a new thing among abortion providers – claiming they care about women while refusing to pay fines for breaking the law and putting women’s lives at risk. Exactly Kel.
Interestingly enough, I notice our regular pro-choice commenters are all over other posts on the blog but have conveniently avoided this one. But then, it doesn’t fit well into the “abortion is totally safe and pro-lifers harass clinics for no reason” narrative.
