Don’t be distracted by the birth certificate and Indonesia issues. They are irrelevant to Senator Obama’s ineligibility to be President. Since Barack Obama’s father was a Citizen of Kenya and therefore subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of Senator Obama’s birth, then Senator Obama was a British Citizen “at birth”, just like the Framers of the Constitution, and therefore, even if he were to produce an original birth certificate proving he were born on US soil, he still wouldn’t be eligible to be President.
The Framers of the Constitution, at the time of their birth, were also British Citizens and that’s why the Framers declared that, while they were Citizens of the United States, they themselves were not “natural born Citizens”. Hence their inclusion of the grandfather clause in Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the Office of President;
This is the case that people should be watching and making sure that the media sees.
An interesting bit today from syndicated columnist E. J. Dionne Jr. He says Obama ought to come through on his promise to seek to reduce abortions. However, we in the pro-life movement have been around long enough to have heard these types of promises many times before, only to have been disappointed just about every time. We won’t have to wait long before we know his intent when he rolls out the promised exective orders.

In fact, the community reinvestment acts and subsequent lawsuits pushed through by Democrats as well as the quasi government institutions backed by the Democrats did lead to much of the economic mess.
While the businesses themselves most definitely took advantage of the situation when they realized that they could make huge profits with little risk thanks to Freddie and Frannie, the Republican party was not responsible for their greed. In fact, the Republican party called for tougher regulations years ago, but were assured by the Democrats that there were was nothing to worry about.
So yes, I am going to “go with that”.
It’s ironic that Democrats forced banks to give bad loans to minorities who could not afford to pay them back using the charge of “RACISM!!!”, because the same exact tactic was used to guilt white people into voting for Obama, and it will continue to be used to try to prevent anyone for criticizing Obama.
Of course the ultimate irony is that Republicans were blamed for the banking crisis when Democrats caused it, and Americans elected Obama to solve the problem, when he personally helped to cause it by training ACORN operatives.

We had economic growth while Bush was in office until recently and the dow had never been higher. People gained incredible equity in their home values until recently. There was more aid given to third world countries than ever before and he hired more minorities into office than any previous president. We also were kept safe from terrorists post 911.
So zip it. You just make yourself out to look like a fool that bought into the Obamamania media hype that only “the one” can pull our sad country out of falsely created disparity.

(Which, I’ll tell you right now.. we’re not fighting terror over there. The point is that there were a number of terrorist attacks under Clinton’s watch and he did not aggressively take measures to prevent further attacks.
Exactly what are we doing in Iraq, Josephine? We are fighting terrorism and rebuilding.
Also, you can blame the terrorists for many of those Iraqi deaths — they are nothing but cowards who hide among the civilian population. Fortunately, Iraqi civilians are starting to respond to these cowards and either deal with them directly or blow their cover. The U.S. Military goes to great length to prevent civilian casualties. What do you suggest that we do in response to terrorist activity in our country or when our citizens and military are harmed in foreign countries by terrorists?

Wildfires =/= Volcanic activity.
There has been no abnormal seismic activity on the West Coast. Most of the volcanos on the West Coast are inactive or dormant. Mt. St. Helens is the only “active” volcano, and it hasn’t show any increase in seismic activity. IF it did- it would be all over the news.

According to a Senate Commission report, Saddam Hussein gave Al Qaeda the wherewithal to train in Iraq. He gave money to suicide bombers and had WMD. He wasn’t directly involved with the World Trade Center bombings but allowed Al Qaeda to train in Iraq and gave them monetary assistance. A former Iraqi general has stated that WMD were sent out of Iraq into Syria but by the time this was released, no one cared anymore, the media had convinced a lot of the public that it was a lie and the Bush Administration didn’t want the battle anymore.
He gave money to suicide bombers and had WMD.
We never found any WMDs. And where is the evidence the Hussein gave money to suicide bombers? In fact– why would suicide bombers want money? They’re SUICIDE bombers. But that’s not the point, the point is.. where is the evidence Hussein did this??

California ALWAYS has wildfires, probably every year in varying severity…it’s dry, hot, and super windy here and always has been that way. It’s not some sign that God is angry with Californians for voting for Obama (or whatever crazy reason you think it may be).

The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein’s air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.
The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, “Saddam’s Secrets,” released this week. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.
“There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands,” Mr. Sada said. “I am confident they were taken over.”
Mr. Sada’s comments come just more than a month after Israel’s top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam “transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria.”…..

Eileen, I think we’ve done enough damage. We need to get out and let them take care of themselves.
I highly doubt that the U.N. wants to or would step in.
Josephine, I am not talking about blowing things up — I am talking about helping them to rebuild. You criticize our presence there yet you think that we should dump the rebuilding (that we have an obligation to do).
WE are a big part of the reason they need to rebuild. We need to get out and let them have their country back! We can pay contractors to help with the rebuilding, but soldiers? That’s not the job for soldiers.
Yes, since we are a big part of the reason, we need to help in the rebuilding and protect the contractors until the Iraqi military is up to the job.
Do you actually have any basis for highly doubting that the UN would want to step in/would step in or are you just inventing things? My guess is the latter.
Leah, given their poor record as of late (scandal with U.N. workers raping girls in the Congo. wasn’t it?), and their reluctance to address anyone in the Middle East except Israel about serious issues. They are very inefficient besides.
