Lawmakers get death threats after passing sweeping pro-life laws

2013-03-28_1044

On March 22 North Dakota became the first state to legislatively authorize a ballot initiative that would establish the right to life from the moment of conception.

On March 26 North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple signed three other major pro-life bills into law. According to the Bismarck Tribune:

Would Feinstein oppose abortion if they used guns to kill babies?

Scientists to UN: Abortion increases violence against women

imageScientists met this week in New York to discuss recent scientific evidence regarding abortion as a form of growing violence against women and girls.

Indiscriminate practice of abortion is correlated with coercion, a history of sexual abuse, violence during pregnancy, intimate partner violence and with psychological consequences that may lead to suicide.

Former abortion clinic escort arrested for “bumping” pro-lifer with car

A former escort at a South Carolina abortion clinic decided to start the year off with a bang. Literally.

Larry Carter Center (mug shot right) is a former Green Party candidate for the S.C. House of Representatives and well-known socialist activist. He has also worked as a volunteer escort for the Charleston Women’s Medical Center abortion business.

On January 12, as Carter was driving his teal sedan out of the parking lot of the abortion business, he “bumped” 81-yr-old pro-lifer William Gasque in the knee with his front bumper.

Breaking, video: Abortion clinic security guard pepper-sprays pro-lifers

breakingThis morning pro-lifers were singing and praying in front of Mississippi’s lone remaining abortion clinic when a security guard pepper-sprayed three of them in the face.

The aggressor was Roy Benjamin, a private, armed security guard who works for Jackson Women’s Health Organization, in Jackson.

Attack on elderly pro-lifer leads to arrest of serial rapist

I wrote in July about the attack of 69-yr-old pro-lifer Everett Stadig by an abortion proponent as Stadig was collecting signatures for Colorado’s personhood initiative in front of a Denver grocery store.

What followed is an example of perseverance in the face of injustice, which led to an amazing conclusion and a reminder of Genesis 50:20, “Even though you planned evil against me, God planned good to come out of it. This was to keep many people alive….”

Hat tip to pro-life activist Jo Scott for relaying the end of the story, as follows.

Pro-abortion terrorist sentenced to 41 months in prison

Read backstory here.

Theodore Shulman not only threatened to kill several pro-life leaders, he was found in possession of “cyanide and two other deadly substances” when apprehended by the FBI in May 2010. Shulman liked to refer to himself as the “first pro-choice terrorist.”

Shulman faced up to 51 months in prison and a fine of $250,000. An October 3 press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of New York, indicates Shulman ended up getting sentenced to 41 months in prison, three years supervised release, and a $100 fine.

Feminist throws shoe at pro-life leader

The pink, sparkly ballet shoe [pictured above] was hurled towards David Bereit, one of America’s most outspoken anti-abortion advocates, on Saturday night… The shoe’s owner, Megan Clement-Couzner [pictured below left] – who belongs to the Sydney based feminist group “F Collective” – said the “symbolic” attack was to interrupt Mr. Bereit and had been modelled […]
