Pro-life news brief 12-13-13

  • Indiana/Illinois abortionist Ulrich Klopfer will lose his “Physician Designee” in Fort Wayne after failing to quickly report statutory rape and for admitting he encourages victims of statutory rape to go to other states. This means Klopfer may not be able to legally perform abortions in Fort Wayne in the new year:

The Allen County Patient Safety Ordinance requires that doctors who practice but don’t live in the county to have a relationship with a local doctor who can legally practice in Allen County. State law requires abortion doctors to have local admitting privileges or have entered into an agreement with a physician who has admitting privileges at a hospital in case of an emergency.

Dr. Geoffrey Cly, OB/GYN, notified Dr. Ulrich Klopfer in a letter dated December 12 that he will no longer serve as the “back-up” physician for Klopfer effective December 31, 2013.

Big thanks to RH Reality Check for posting the article in which Klopfer admits he encourages victims of statutory rape to go out of state.

  • ProWomanProLife showcases an article about the death of a young woman who used the NuvaRing contraceptive. Her lawyer now fights for justice against the manufacturer, which touts its product as being easy — but buried in the fine print of thousands of pages sent to the FDA are the results of 500 studies which included blood clots and death.

Dr. Ben Carson: There’s no war on women

You know, there are those of us in this society who have told women that there’s a war on them because that cute little baby inside of them, they may want to get rid of it and there are people that are keeping you from doing that. And women say, ‘No, no, they’re not doing […]

Feminist says “absolutist” pro-choice stance harms preborn girls

We must be careful not to make a fetish of choice. If the technology allows and a woman wants a blue-eyed, blonde baby, do we support her because we are pro-choice? While we must be vigilant about the “pro-lifer”-infested waters, we must be prepared to refine our pro-choice position; it must be circumscribed by context. […]

Catholic institution invites pro-abortion speaker to its campus

It would be difficult to find a speaker who contradicts the teaching of the Catholic Church on more levels than Angela Davis [pictured right]. Stalin maybe? She is a notorious feminist, Marxist, communist, socialist who engages in pro-abortion, pro-same-sex “marriage” activism. Yet, despite Davis’ dismal record, Seattle University — a Catholic institution — plans to […]

  • Americans United for Life shares a press release detailing notable pro-life legislative successes this year.
  • At ProWomanProLife, Andrea Mrozek discusses why she believes the Pill is still so popular despite it being “anti-feminist”:

I believe it is because it is very much promoted in med schools which look to pharmaceuticals for solutions. Doctors are schooled first, later wined and dined by pharmaceutical companies. They are not schooled or wined and dined by Creighton practitioners, for example.
