Judge blocks Kissimmee Planned Parenthood from committing abortions

Kissimmee Planned Parenthood abortion clinic pro-life protest

Pro-lifers learned by accident this past March what Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando had been trying to keep secret until it was ready to open two months later, that it had purchased a clinic suite in the middle of a large medical complex in Kissimmee, just 20 minutes from Disney World.

Planned Parenthood intended to commit abortions at its new Kissimmee clinic, which it purchased for $1.4 million in 2013, despite the fact that deed restrictions prohibit surgical procedures from being performed without permission from other owners.

Pro-lifers and surrounding business owners quickly took action, planning protests (photo above) and filing a lawsuit.

MS NOW prez: Pro-lifers the real problem at clinic skirting the law

JacksonRobertsMississippi’s only abortion clinic continued seeing patients Tuesday, the day after a federal judge temporarily stopped the state from closing it.

Several people wearing florescent yellow vests labeled “Clinic Escort” helped women find parking places and walked with them into the cherry pink building in a Jackson retail district. Outside an iron fence that separates Jackson Women’s Health Organization from the street, abortion opponents stood on a sidewalk and implored women not to end their pregnancies.

  • Pro-Life Action League reports on a huge free speech victory for pro-lifers in Rockford, Illinois, home of the infamously profane (and thankfully, now closed) Northern Illinois Women’s Center:

The settlement comes after more than five years of federal litigation stemming from harassment of pro-life individuals and other federal civil rights violations on the part of some members of the Rockford Police Department.

As part of the terms of the settlement, Rockford police officers will be required to attend a training program on citizens’ First Amendment rights, with the specific aim of preventing wrongful arrest of citizens for taking part in constitutionally-protected activities.

Planned Parenthood of Arizona to stop abortions at seven clinics

Last week an Arizona appeals court lifted an injunction against Arizona’s 2009 Abortion Consent Act. There are four major components to the Act: 1. The abortionist must be the one reading the state-approved informed consent script, not a surrogate, and it must be 24 hours before the abortion. 2. Only doctors can abort, not nurses […]
