  • Kirsten Powers uses her latest column to point out how Wendy Davis doesn’t know what she’s talking about when she speaks on abortion:

Despite frequently mocking anti-abortion activists as anti-science know-nothings, abortion rights absolutists are the ones who play fast and loose with the facts of abortion. Because they are so rarely asked to defend their positions, Davis and her ilk apparently don’t feel the need to be informed.

Follow-up questions to their strange and often empirically false statements are almost nonexistent, while offensive or misinformed comments from GOP back benchers are greeted with full-scale media hysteria.

Pot/kettle: Creep abortionist claims DE Planned P’hood “in disarray”

When the creep slapping women during abortions accuses you of dysfunction, you are in pretty bad shape. ~ Kirsten Powers, responding to remarks made by former Planned Parenthood of Delaware abortionist Timothy Liveright, who says the facility was “disorganized, in disarray,” Washington Post, August 2. Whistleblower nurse Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich has testified that Liveright “slapp[ed] a […]

  • Kirsten Powers has a column in the Washington Post on the Delaware Planned Parenthood whistleblowers:

After [Joyce] Vasikonis and [Jayne] Mitchell-Werbrich aired their complaints at the first state Senate hearing in June, the abortion-rights Web site “RH Reality Check” said that, “The nurses’ allegations have not been substantiated by any other source.” How many sources are needed? What better “source” is there than two abortion-rights nurses who saw it first hand? Vasikonis told me, “I am a liberal, and I have been shocked that liberal Democrats, who I thought had supported women, would turn their backs on women’s health safety just to support abortion rights.”

Yes, it is sad that the people who are always lecturing us about how they are the only ones who care about women ignored the pleas of their own employees. Until they went public, of course. Makes you wonder how many other clinics are operating like this.

Davis’s sneakers got 3x the coverage as Gosnell’s severed baby feet

Jivin J pointed to a New York Times article that fawned over “overnight sensation” Wendy Davis, a Democrat Texas state senator who is a big fan of late-term abortions.

But that was just the tip of the iceberg, according to Culture and Media Institute:

Powers: Maybe the real bullies are women like Wendy Davis

One can assume I am also not the only woman in America who is really tiring of the Wendys of the world claiming to represent “women’s rights” in their quest to mainstream a medical procedure — elective late-term abortion — that most of the civilized world finds barbaric and abhorrent. In many European countries, you […]

  • Kirsten Powers isn’t standing with Wendy Davis. She also points out the obvious false claim that 37 out of 42 abortion clinics will close:

In addition to the limit on late-term abortions, the Texas legislature sought to pass regulations on abortion clinics similar to what was passed in Pennsylvania in 2011 after the Gosnell horror. The New York Times warned that the Texas bill “could lead to the closing of most of Texas’s 42 abortion clinics.” That sounds familiar. In 2011, the Pennsylvania ACLU claimed a post-Gosnell bill “would effectively close most and maybe all of the independent abortion clinics in Pennsylvania.” Last month, a Pennsylvania news site reported that “several” abortion clinics have closed, which isn’t quite the Armageddon the abortion-rights movement predicted.

Live Action “Inhuman” video #4, Carhart: Preborn babies “like meat in a crock pot”

article-0-1713F219000005DC-406_634x422

Today, Live Action released the fourth video in its new investigative series, “Inhuman: Undercover in America’s late-term abortion industry.”

This video features one of the stars of this year’s Sundance Film Festival, late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart.

  • Kermit Gosnell’s attorney Jack McMahon is upset with Fox News for airing a special on Gosnell:

“It’s outrageous,” McMahon told reporters who had gathered to await a verdict Monday. “I’ve never seen anything so irresponsible in journalism.”

After McMahon aired his complaints to Judge Jeffrey P. Minehart, the judge instructed jurors to notify his staff if any of them had seen or heard details of the show during the weekend. He also told them it should not factor into their decision-making.
