Singer: Childbearing should not be an “absolute right”

by Kelli [W]e need to consider whether we can talk about trying to reduce population growth and whether that’s compatible with the very reasonable concerns people have about women’s right to control their life decisions and their reproduction…. Turns out that the right to graze as many cows as you like on the common was […]

Stanek weekend question: What is the boldest thing you’ve ever done to stop abortion?

Young woman sitting in a waiting room holding a magazineDr. Monica Miller of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society related a pretty incredible story, as posted on LifeNews.com:. It’s a heart-pounding but uplifting read. Excerpts…

Alicia had a terrible feeling that Maria intended to go through with the abortion. Alicia made a decision.  “I knew I had to go to the Planned Parenthood clinic myself and try and intercept Maria.” But Alicia did not know what Maria looked like.  Only Iris knew.

Boycott! Just say no to Girl Scouts cookies

2014-01-31_1627

Pro-lifers have been warning for years of the Girl Scouts’ fraternization with the abortion industry.

wendy-dBut it appears we have late-term abortion supporter Wendy Davis (pictured right) to thank for inadvertently providing the tipping point that has triggered the call for a nationwide boycott of the purchase of Girl Scout Cookies, called “CookieCott 2014.”

The Girl Scouts’ December 18 tweet heard round the wafer is still up, despite the Girl Scouts’ January 29 apology, which came six long weeks after the tweet but just nine convenient days before the launch of its annual cookie sale.

State of Alabama catches unlicensed abortion provider red-handed

dianederzisAL.com reported today:

The state of Alabama has uncovered a business relationship between the doctor of a clinic accused of being an unlicensed abortion provider and the woman who surrendered an abortion provider license for the Southside facility a year ago.

In a court filing last week, the state says that Dr. Bruce Norman is contracted with a Georgia company headed by Diane Derzis [pictured above right] to provide staffing, supplies, medication, medical malpractice insurance and workman’s compensation — “in short to manage Norman’s practice conducted at 1001 17th St. South.”

In previous court filings, Derzis stated there was no relationship between herself and Norman.

Two more Planned Parenthoods close; number of clinics down 23% from high

2013-06-09_1637

I was researching something last week and stumbled on an announcement by Planned Parenthood of Northeast, Mid-Penn & Bucks County in Pennsylvania that it was shuttering its Carlisle clinic. This is not an abortion mill; it is what pro-lifers call a “feeder” – a conduit to PP abortion mills. But its closure is still a boon for the health and welfare of that community. And Planned Parenthood’s political influence will be removed from the area.
