In response to a lawsuit filed in February by pro-life leader Ryan Bomberger, accusing the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People of intimidation, the NAACP has fired back with a countersuit.
Planned Parenthood’s recent opposition to Florida legislation seeking to protect abortion survivors sent shock waves around the country.
But this wasn’t the first time Planned Parenthood had opposed such legislation.
Planned Parenthood also actively fought Illinois’ Born Alive Infants Protection Act in the early 2000s, along with then state Senator Barack Obama. This legislation was introduced to protect known abortion survivors.

Hampton testified that she would pour the jar of red liquid from the machine down a sink drain and turn on the garbage disposal. She said she did not know if the liquid contained fetal body parts.“I left because of things I saw. I went out that night and started drinking at the bar across the street,” Hampton said, her voice choking with emotion. “I fell off the wagon.”
If abortion proponents condemned 2011 as “the year of abortion restrictions… mark[ing] a sea change for abortion rights,” and 2012 as “an unmitigated disaster for abortion rights,” I can’t imagine what they will say about 2013.
In 2011 there were a record 92 pro-life laws enacted in the states, followed by the second highest number, 43, in in 2012. But in 2013 we are not only seeing a high volume of typical pro-life legislative fare, we are seeing passage of pro-life legislation on steroids, the likes of which has never been observed in 40 years of legalized abortions throughout the U.S.

Planned Parenthood triggered a massive identity crisis in the pro-abortion world when it announced on February 9 it was abandoning the term “pro-choice.”
I mentioned at the time Planned Parenthood must certainly not have conferred with such groups as NARAL Pro-Choice America before dropping its bombshell.
I don’t think abortion advocacy groups appreciate the fact that Planned Parenthood is a billion dollar business. So its decisions will be primarily market-driven, which may or may not be coincide with the best interest of ideological groups – one of the hard truths about the 1%.
Thus, Planned Parenthood basically hung NARAL, et al, out to dry, forcing them to defend their commitment to the word “choice.”
In an interview with Politico today, new NARAL president Ilyse Hogue said her group is doubling down…
