Pro-life news brief 4-19-13

  • At the Daily Caller, our own Jill Stanek writes about President Barack Obama’s history of “blind faith in abortion doctors” like Kermit Gosnell:

Note Obama expressed concern that saving abortion survivors “might impact… the relationship between the doctor and the patient,” and that this [Illinois Born Alive] legislation was “really designed to burden the original decision….”

… Obama apparently cannot fathom that an upstanding abortionist who had been paid to kill a baby wouldn’t turn around and try to save a viable baby’s life in the event of a botch.

Kermit Gosnell would have been one of the abortionists in which Obama had “confidence.”

  • Clinic Quotes has a chilling reminder of the history that we should not forget. Did you know the company that manufactured the poison gas used in Nazi gas chambers is the same company that obtained the patent for chemical abortion drug RU-486?

Planned Parenthood has opposed other anti-infanticide legislation: IL Born Alive Act

~ “Blessed” Obama’s opposition

479830_433518370067175_1027146459_nPlanned Parenthood’s recent opposition to Florida legislation seeking to protect abortion survivors sent shock waves around the country.

But this wasn’t the first time Planned Parenthood had opposed such legislation.

Planned Parenthood also actively fought Illinois’ Born Alive Infants Protection Act in the early 2000s, along with then state Senator Barack Obama. This legislation was introduced to protect known abortion survivors.

In fact, Planned Parenthood and Obama worked together as a team. From ABC News, July 17, 2007:

Does Carhart have a friend on the inside?

a470b078-5ece-4f99-8bca-4830b5722440On February 7, 29-yr-old Jennifer Morbelli, pictured right, died at a Maryland hospital the morning after LeRoy Carhart completed the abortion of her 33-wk-old baby in the Germantown, Maryland, mill at which he worked.

Ironically, the day before Morbelli died the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued licenses to all 17 abortion clinics in the state without ever having inspected them, even though abortion clinic regulations had been enacted in November 2012.

MSM ignores Planned Parenthood rep’s (and Obama’s) infanticide endorsement

… [A] government-funded organization just sent a representative to testify that she is not entirely sure a mother does not have an inalienable right to murder; the president whose administration funds her organization has expressed the exact same sentiments, and in fact voted on them — several times. An honest culture, an honest media would […]

  • LTI’s Scott Klusendorf recently had a conversation with a woman who is personally pro-life but can’t understand “how anyone could tell a woman who is raped that it’s wrong to have one.”

St. Patrick, Obama, and the Dubliner

image

The Dubliner, in Washington, DC, is the beloved Irish pub where pro-lifers congregate to inspire, conspire, and console before and after the March for Life each January as well as other meeting times throughout the year.

It is fitting, since Ireland is abortion free.

Last year President Obama violated our sacred space on St. Patrick’s Day.

NARAL secretly hired Obama-linked firm to interview pro-life Gen Yers

They asked me about my thoughts on abortion, about policy, about underlying belief that would lead to certain conclusions. It was pretty comprehensive. It was very long…. It seems like [new NARAL president Ilyse Hogue] is well aware of the fact that there is a growing movement especially among younger people that can’t ignore the […]
