Pelosi: Gosnell “really disgusting” but not what abortion’s about

gosnell38Reporter:What about the trial in Philadelphia of the doctor, Kermit Gosnell? Is there any role at all that Congress could play to ensure that what’s happened at that clinic isnt happening elsewhere?

Pelosi: I think what went on there, and I only know what you all report on it, is it’s really disgusting. It’s really disgusting, and when we talk about women’s reproductive health, that’s not what we’re talking about.

~ Pro-abortion Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, May 9; video below…

S. E. Cupp: Why aren’t pro-choicers trying to stop future Gosnells?

se_cupp_08You might think that the stunning lack of oversight in this case multiple government agencies failed to put an end to his illegal practices over the years would prompt calls for new legislation to make it harder for criminals like [Kermit] Gosnell to do what he did for as long as he did. But Planned Parenthood has opposed the idea. It insists that no new regulations can stop a physician who has decided to disregard the law.

Stanek Sunday funnies: “Joe just being Joe” edition

The one and only vice presidential debate of the 2012 election cycle was held this past week, and I’m sure Joe Biden’s inappropriate behavior has already been added to the list of historical “don’t do’s”…

While the Democrat base was “delight[ed]” by Biden’s performance, coming in the shadow of President Barack Obama’s abysmal showing, a CNN poll showed Paul Ryan “sailed” past Biden in the debate. Why? Observed Mary Kate Cary at usnews.com:

Missouri: Both Akin and Romney regain footing

Liberal news outlet Slate has noticed with disbelief that Missouri Republican pro-life U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin “has crept back into the Missouri Senate race,” which three polls have now concluded.

A Family Research Council poll conducted August 27-28 found Akin had pulled ahead of Democrat pro-abortion incumbent Claire McCaskill 45-42% after a precipitous drop following an unfortunate explanation for his rape/incest exception to abortion.

But that was our side. When Democrat pollster Public Policy Polling found in a flash poll on August 20, the day after Akin made his infamous remark, that Akin still held a slight 44-43% lead, PPP was accused by his side of skewing the results “to ensure Akin stays in, so that he can get pummeled in November.”

But PPP’s second poll, conducted August 28 and 29, had nearly the same findings: McCaskill ahead by only a hair, 44-43%. According to Poll Tracker, here is how the race stands. Click to enlarge…

Per MSM it could only be Planned Parenthood supporters withholding donations from Komen

The mainstream media is reporting that donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure have dropped substantially in the wake of its decision and subsequent reversal to defund Planned Parenthood.

According to MSM, this must be due to disgruntled Planned Parenthood supporters, for instance this March 23 CBS News story:
