Maryland county forced to pay $375k in legal fees for targeting pregnancy care centers

check Montgomery County Tepayac pregnancy care center pro-life abortion NARALUPDATE, 6/24, 10:45ap: More good news! As reported by CBNNews.com today:

A federal district court struck down an Austin, Texas, anti-pregnancy care law that forced pro-life pregnancy care centers to post messages that encourage women to go elsewhere.

6/19 12:52p: This decision should go a long way in dissuading government bodies from passing unconstitutional ordinances that attempt to muzzle the life-saving work of pregnancy care centers.

Such ordinances may hurt their municipal pocketbooks.

A federal district court has ordered Montgomery County, Maryland, to pay $375,000 in legal fees to Centro Tepayac Silver Spring Women’s Center after the pregnancy care center won its 2010 lawsuit against the county for violating its right to free speech.

Would the magic last?

Three weeks after her infamous June 25, 2013, 11-hour filibuster, climaxing  days of demonstrations by proponents on both sides of the abortion issue, Texas State Senator Wendy Davis was asked that by a reporter at The Texas Observer. She responded to the affirmative:

Celebration planned for 1-year anniversary of Wendy Davis’s abortion filibuster

I wonder if they’ll hire Satan worshipers to provide background chanting?

A party marking the one-year anniversary of Wendy Davis’s filibuster of an omnibus abortion bill in Texas offers so many possibilities.

And that’s exactly what is planned. According to the Corpus Christi Caller Times today:

Wendy Davis thinks Abortion Barbie posters are “disgusting”

South by Southwest: Pro-life laws eradicating abortion clinics

There is a mesmerizing time-lapse video at the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois, that in four minutes shows the North’s four-year takeover of the South during the Civil War (screen shots above – view a video clip here).

I was reminded of that video when viewing this GIF from Planned Parenthood. Click on the image to launch…

“A fool and his money are soon parted” is a phrase that came to mind when reading the May 26 Houston CultureMap story, “Auction party: The stakes are raised for Planned Parenthood at this artful River Oaks bash,” about a “Fine Art Auction benefitting Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.”

Houston’s pro-abortion elite are either unaware or pretending not to notice that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is up to its ears in legal trouble.

Override of 20-week abortion ban veto in West VA “imminent”

Earl-Ray-Tomblin-at-White-House (1)A remarkable feat in and of itself, West Virginia became the first Democrat-controlled state to pass a 20-week abortion ban this past March.

Until then all 1w other 20-week fetal pain bans (Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, IdahoIndiana, KansasLouisiana, MississippiNebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas) had been passed by Republicans.

West Virginia’s supposedly pro-life Democrat Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, pictured right, went on to veto the ban, claiming it was unconstitutional. This although nine of the aforementioned state bans* have never been challenged in court.

Now stage has been set for an even more remarkable feat to take place: a Democrat-controlled override of Tomblin’s veto.
