“Immediatist vs. Incrementalist” debate analysis, Part VII: So fundraising is wrong?

On one hand, a favorite punching bag of T. Russell Hunter is pro-life fundraising.

It was these contradictory positions Hunter had to balance in his April 25 debate against Center for Bio-Ethical Reform’s Gregg Cunningham.

Hunter contended (1:06:10 on the video) that one reason Christians aren’t actively involved in anti-abortion activism is because they donate money to pro-life organizations to do the work for them. (See also 1:14:24-1:16:26.)

Spread the anti-abortion message anywhere and everywhere with drop cards

I wrote in early December that the result of the presidential election is a reminder that stopping abortion starts locally.

Our first responsibility is to make abortion unthinkable in our own family, home church, neighborhood schools, and community.

The group Abolish Human Abortion has developed a series of inexpensive drop cards. Buy them and carry them with you. Drop them everywhere.

Todd Bullis of World Life Organization explains the thinking:

Help spread the message of abolition every where you go.

Most people are happy to live in a world where discussion of abortion only occurs in churches and political stump speeches.

Most people want to drink their coffee, eat their fast food, watch their movies, and go about their day without thinking about abortion and considering what it might take to effect its abolition.

Student defies Christian college administration and shows reality of abortion

“At Westmont, Jesus Christ holds preeminence. With our commitment to historic Christianity, we encourage students to integrate their beliefs with their studies and to live out their faith in service to others. Rooting the liberal arts in Christ means that we educate the whole person and encourage students to develop biblically based, intellectually strong convictions and worldviews.”

For three years pro-life student Seth Gruber (pictured left) petitioned the College Student Association and Executive Team at his Evangelical Christian college, Westmont, located in Santa Barbara, California, to allow him to sponsor the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform’s Genocide Awareness Project on campus.

For three years they said no.

Finally, on the morning of October 23, Seth decided to show the reality of abortion to students anyway.

With pro-lifers Todd Bullis and Timothy Eaton, Todd took a position outside the Dining Commons with graphic abortion signs.

Graphic signs anger pro-abortion pastors, parishioners

I’m always intrigued by the responses pro-lifers get for showing graphic photos of aborted babies in front of pro-abortion churches on Sunday mornings. I hope these protests continue and expand. Parishioners may not understand, but pro-lifers are trying to help them. Their worship services are repugnant to God. Just read Isaiah 1:10-17.

In September World Life Organization’s Todd Bullis and Andy Moore and their team stood for the 11th and 12th time in front of the Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. I’m always impressed by the wise, Godly words they have ready to offer.

Abortion pictures rile members of pro-choice church

Abortion pictures are not pleasant to view, particularly on one’s way to Sunday morning worship service at a pro-choice church.

For the past several weeks Todd Bullis has taken his Church Project to the Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas.

Showing the reality of abortion through abortion pictures, Todd and his team have made it their mission to educate church goers that the place where they worship condones this heinous act against God, in whose image we are made.

New social networking site: ProLifeBook

Those of us on Facebook have heard the stories – or even personally experienced – having status updates and graphics censored. I, myself, am cautious about posting abortion photos on Facebook, because I’ve heard they are a trigger for getting banned. (I still post them, but sparingly, and so far have escaped notice.)

And we’ve also heard or experienced having our videos banned on YouTube, classic examples being some of Live Action’s video exposés on Planned Parenthood.

Now, a new group, World Life Organization (of which I’ve been asked to be a board member) has introduced Prolifebook, a powerful and censor-safe social networking tool for pro-lifers and pro-life groups.

Plano Police Officer Steven Sanders, Badge #1439, harasses pro-life activists

As I wrote a couple weeks ago, pro-life activist Todd Bullis recently relocated from California to Texas. Recall Todd launched “The Church Project” while in California, showing graphic images of aborted babies on Sunday mornings in front of churches professing to be pro-life but bearing no fruit. To say the least, Todd had interesting experiences at […]

“You need to be out here”

I met Andrew Smith 12 years ago when he worked at Priests for Life in New York. It wasn’t long before he became one of my bffs. The pro-life world is a small place. Andrew ended up in Dallas, Texas, where his wife Jacquelyn (who he met at a pro-life conference – she was working […]
