Pro-life blog buzz 6-9-15

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli Americans United for Life applauds Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, who “signed into a law a groundbreaking, pro-life measure that passed with tremendous bi-partisan support and will expand the enforcement options for any violation of state abortion laws as well as provide greater protections […]

NARAL president was afraid to tell people she was pregnant

by Kelli I admit, I had trepidation about telling people…. Is it going to change the way they look at me? Are they going to treat me differently?… There is this whole mentality that anyone who fights for the rights that we fight for must hate children and not want to parent. So to have […]

Pro-life blog buzz 6-5-15

  • At A Drop in the Ocean, Laura slams California’s attack on pregnancy resource centers by comparing the bill – which would force pregnancy resource centers to tell women where to get abortions – to forcing a Jewish deli to tell customers where to buy pork:

Hello, and welcome to Shamash’s! Before you sit down to eat, we want you to know that New York has public programs that provide immediate free or low-cost access to comprehensive pork dishes (including all FDA-approved methods of smoked ham), pulled pork, and pork sausage, for eligible people. To determine whether you qualify, contact the county social food services office at 1-800-YAY-PORK.

Some women abort because they can’t give baby an idyllic life

by Kelli Emily wrote, “Children deserve so much, and if you don’t start with a solid platform, how can you ever give them that? I’m sure I could have done fine, eventually….” But she didn’t believe she would have done fine. She allowed fear to rob her of hope. She saw only darkness. She believed […]

BREAKING: Pro-lifers announce sit-in at Speaker Boehner’s office to #FreeTheBan

On March 25 it will have been just over TWO MONTHS since Republican House leaders reneged on their promise to vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act on January 22, when hundreds of thousands were participating in the March for Life.

If GOP leaders thought we might forget, they were mistaken. More than enough time has passed for them to right their wrong.

Today, I joined pro-life activists Rev. Pat Mahoney and Troy Newman in announcing a peaceful protest and sit-in at Speaker John Boehner’s office on March 25 at 11 a.m.

Measles outbreak draws attention to aborted fetal cells in vaccines

jenny-mccarthy-vaccines-the-view_69447_990x742The issue of childhood vaccinations provides a rare meeting place for liberals and conservatives.

There is no shortage of progressives like Robert Kennedy, Jr. who champion the anti-vaccination movement.

But there is also a contingent of conservatives who oppose it as well. As noted by Vox:

They are by no means guided by a singular ideology. They may be the vaccine-hesistant Amish, vaccine-refusing Christian Scientists, Jenny McCarthy acolytes, granola crunchers who don’t want to put “unnatural” things in their kids’ bodies, or simply worried parents who delay immunizing their children.

And there are also pro-lifers.

Until now pro-life opposition to vaccinations hasn’t gotten much airplay.

What does China’s impending weapons dominance have to do with abortion?

From Investors Business Daily, January 29:

Arms Buildup: A senior weapons developer tells Congress that Beijing’s massive defense buildup, emphasizing precision-guided and other advanced weapons, has placed the U.S. and its shrinking military at serious risk.

Despite charade, abortion proponents still running from A-word

100406ScarletARecently, abortion proponents decided if you can’t beat, join ’em, and began urging their people to counter post-abortive stories of regret with post-abortive stories of relief.

They launched the 1 in 3 Campaign and began writing articles explaining the importance of coming out.

Even Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards finally admitted to having an abortion skeleton in her closet, claiming it was easy peasy, even if something about it kept her from sharing the good news beyond her inner circle for years and years.
