New Stanek WND column, “McCain and Viagra”
Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO, has been touted as one of John McCain’s potential vice-presidential picks.
But on July 7, Fiorina exposed herself as either a political airhead or saboteur by handing pro-aborts a wider opening to attack McCain than they could possibly have fantasized….
Since early this year, NARAL has been sounding the alarm that its polling showed independents and pro-abortion Republicans have taken McCain’s “maverick” reputation to mean he bucks his party’s platform and is pro-abortion.
But recently, pro-abortion groups have adopted the deceptive strategy of portraying McCain as anti-contraception.
Apparently, their follow-up polls showed McCain’s simply being anti-abortion has not raised the dander of targeted voters, particularly in light of mounting evidence that Barack Obama is an abortion extremist….
So Fiorina could not have played more perfectly into pro-abort hands.
On July 10, a reporter asked McCain about Fiorina’s mother of all verbal gifts to pro-aborts.
This prompted “some of the most riveting campaign footage of the entire year so far,” reported MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. You can view it in its entirety online here….

I would like to take the opportunity to say I would not vote for a McCain Romney ticket, I might a McCain / Huckabee ticket. Here is a link that has all of the Romney attack ad videos, that Romney released against McCain during the primary, along with a video of romney calling McCain dishonest. How could McCain even consider picking Romney. I think the McCain camp is trying to sabotage McCain. The link to the videos is http://www.hotpres.com
You can sign a petition to make Huckabee the VP at http://www.TheVeep.com
I thought she was talking about birth control not abortion?
Outside of the fact that one treats a medical condition and the other is an elective method of preventing conception, I do not see the problem for the McCain campaign.
If women get coverage for birth control pills, will men be allowed insurance for condoms?
Viabortionagra! HAHA!! good one!
Jamie: would you please expound on your point?
James: I hope you’re right.
McCain is asked a very straightforward question about helth care policy and Mr. “Straight Talk Express” responds by having an apparent cerebral hemorrhage, stammering that he has no answer.
and his looking ridiculous is the fault of the “pro-aborts”???
Maybe Jill can explain this to all of us.
(Note: I am not Laura, but since this comment is critical of Jill’s hero, I understand it it subject to being deleted, and my being banned.)
One thing that seems to be missing in this argument is something Neil Boortz recently brought up, namely, that Viagra is used to address a medical condition, i.e. impotence, and the morning-after pill, as well as other forms of birth control, is a choice.
I just wish someone in the McCain camp would make that point.
I said this the first time it was brought up, but I’ll mention it again.
For men under the age of 50-60, YES, impotence is a medical condition.
For men older than that, the lack of ability to “get it up”, so to speak, is a NATURAL progression of the aging process. It is no more abnormal than menopause.
So just as it is a CHOICE for many women to take hormonal supplements to deal with the symptoms of menopause, or to take birth control, taking viagra at an older age (which many men do) is the same kind of CHOICE to offset a natural phenomenon.
Also, McCain’s recent attack ads are focused entirely on blaming Barack Obama for the current high gas prices (HUH????), instead of going after him on the ONE issue probably 90% of the country disagrees with him on (his support of late term abortions). His campaign strategy makes absolutely no sense to me, and his campaign managers need to keep him off the morning news shows, because so far, every single time I’ve seen him on one of them, he ends up getting caught in a lie or a “mistake” or just coming off like a deer in headlights whenever he’s asked a question. I wish he’d won back in 2000 when he was a little more with it, but honestly, I like the guy, but he’s REALLY showing his age.

…………………………….
For whom? I used to work for a mail order pharmacy. The angriest patients were looking for their phsych meds, HRT or Viagra. I can’t imagine what it’s like to live with some of those people!
One of the funniest was an old man calling to ask why he only got 6 Viagra for the month. He wondered if his wife had restricted the amount.
LOL Sally.
I don’t post so clearly when under the influence of Benadryl. Stupid pollen.

If you have followed Jill’s blog, I hardly think you could call John McCain her hero. Jill has been critical of John McCain several times herself.
And quit with the drama. *rolls eyes* Every person on this site who has been banned has been rightfully banned not for having an opposing opinion, but for being disresptectful, rude and using bad language.

The reason that conservatives believe that contraception is wrong is because it allows women to have sex for non-procreative purposes, correct? Sex for fun?
How many of those men are taking Viagra because they are trying to have children? 1%? 5%? 82.34%?
They are taking Viagra because they want to have a life that includes sex, but not necessarily children right then. To do that, they need Viagra.
For women to have a life that includes sex but not necessarily children right then, they need contraception.
If sex for fun is okay for men, then it’s okay for women too, at least in the eyes of the law.
And this doesn’t even consider the men who are not impotent and take Viagra to improve their performance.
DRF, I second your point. You are exactly right. Even if it’s for a medical condition (and I think Amanda and her notes on age and natural progression of ED), are these 50+ men really trying to have kids? No. But why should women have the ability- gosh, even the right- to be so…PROMISCUOUS! Naughty!
Correction: I think Amanda….cleared that up
