Breaking news: Late-term abortionist George Tiller to stand trial
This from the Associated Press within the hour:
A judge has refused to toss out the criminal case against a doctor accused of violating KS’ late-term abortion law.
Sedgwick Co. Judge Clark Owens on Wednesday denied a defense request to dismiss charges against Dr. George Tiller of Wichita or throw out evidence because of the conduct of former prosecutor Phill Kline.
Owens found that Kline’s conduct during the investigation of Tiller did not warrant such action.
Tiller is scheduled to go to trial on March 16 on 19 misdemeanor charges alleging he failed to obtain a second opinion for some late-term abortions from an independent physician, as required by KS law.

Anyone want to bet on the outcome for Teflon Tiller?
Hmmm…that’s a tough one, Lauren. I am going with not guilty.
Wow. Great judge. He lists the cases that defend his ruling and squoooosh tiller’s whining.

I just read the article on this. It is clear that the lawyer thinks this doc doesn’t need to report 10 year old girls as preggars.
It also looks like the killer tiller thinks that being investigated by a state attorney general that is of sa different party is selective prosecution. Selective “prosecution” is when one abortionist gets picked on and many others do the same crime and never get charged.
No tiller they do not check asian restaurants and car dealers for abortion violations. Just abortuaries.

Tiller belongs in JAIL. How he ever sleeps at night is beyond me…. but I have no idea how the moms go to him in the first place either.
I heard the Kansas governor was on the short list for new health secretary. If I remember right, she claims to be Catholic, but has been a supporter of Tiller and his heinous “women’s health care services.”

tiller’s church. I am sure he humbled hisself and had some ashes placed on his head today.
How can that man even pretend to be a Christian. Disgusting.
He’s says he’s a Christian? Holy crap, didn’t see that one coming.
He must be in the Obama/Oprah faith. Tall roads lead to god. The key is sincerity whether it be buddha or any other deal.
Of course I don’t know the state of Tiller’s soul but…I have a hunch he might just be drinking himself a cup of damnation if he actually has the nerve to take communion.
Hey Josephine, this is way off topic. I thought of your upcoming deployment last night when I read this article. It’s about a Catholic army captain in Iraq.

Lots of Christians are pro-choice. In fact, a Methodist church on campus had a pro-choice rally the other day. Awwwkward. It’s not “Oprah/Obama” faith.
Fed Up, that was a really nice story. Thank you for sharing it with me.
It’s not “pro-choice” Josephine it’s pro death. And I can guarantee you that abortion is a sin, and its committed against the most innocent and helpless among us.
Here’s where I wish I knew scripture as well as I once knew CRR regulations, because I know there are plenty about judges not showing partiality, particularly partiality to the rich and powerful.
If Tiller is finally held accountable for his consistently and patent lawbreaking, maybe the abortion laws in Kansas will finally be enforced.
The “chaplain” for Planned Parenthood is Methodist.
People who call themselves Christian and condone abortion are either lost or phony. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and grew inside the womb and was born of the Virgin Mary. No Christian could look at that and deny the inherent value of unborn life.
This situation with Tiller has a very lengthy and convoluted history. Operation Rescue has really been following the whole thing very closely since the beginning.
If you read the background of this whole thing, it will curl your hair. This man has paid thousands and thousands of dollars to assorted politicians to protect his extremely lucrative BABY KILLING business in operation.
FINALLY he is going to be tried. It has taken years for this to happen and HOPEFULLY this trial will put him in prison where he belongs and they can shut down the hell hole that he has operated.
This trial is pivotal to the pro-life cause. We need to pray fervently that this monster is found guilty and locked up for eternity.
Prayers that this will be the beginning of justice
served to the wicked, who have been flaunting
their sin before the world!
The wicked trio in Florida who murdered Terri Schindler
Schiavo are deserving of the same, in His perfect timing.
I only wish I could predict that this crack in the wall around the abortion mafia in Kansas would wind up bringing them down, but they didn’t give all those millions to Kansas politicians for nothing.
They will demand, and probably get, their money’s worth before this is over.
I grew up Methodist. I left when I no longer recognized the church. Just as I spoke of how it would be odd for the Pope to NOT espouse traditional Catholic teachings, I became aware that one can believe absolutely anything, even denying that Jesus died on the cross and rose again, and still be Methodist.
The United Methodist church has gotten so open-minded that its brains fell out.

Tiller hired a backslid/fired methodist rv gardner to bless the blobs after abortion. Gardner died suddenly and rapidly after cancer. It reminds be to ask what Hitler used for a chaplain/cleric at his ovens and slaughter events?
This is sort of off-topic, but I do want to take this opportunity to put in a good word for the founder of the Methodist religion John Wesley, because he was incredible. From Wiki:
“Wesley traveled constantly, generally on horseback, preaching two or three times a day. Stephen Tomkins writes that he “rode 250,000 miles, gave away 30,000 pounds, . . . and preached more than 40,000 sermons”
40,000 sermons. Unbelievable. What kind of devotion must one have to our Lord in order to preach that much? Wiki also gives this quote which can be, I believe, misleading:
“I do not love God. I never did. Therefore I never believed, in the Christian sense of the word. Therefore I am only an honest heathen…And yet, to be so employed of God!”
To me, this seems as if he experienced the Dark Night of the Soul, which is the proof of a deep spiritual life. Wesley is one of these guys that as a Catholic, I can really look up to.
I suppose my point is that a lot of the Methodism we see today is a far cry from what its founder preached and lived.
Bobby, just wanted to say that I appreciate your kind words about John Wesley. I have a lot of Methodists in my family, and every one of their churches I’ve attended has had the Nicene Creed in the hymnal. The only difference is catholic with a lower case c. I’m not 100% certain, but I think Wesley believed in the real presence too.
Yes Fed Up. I think you’re right about his belief is the real presence. The lower case “c” for “catholic” in the Nicene Creed is pretty common among non-Catholic Christians who recite the creed, I believe. And I don’t think we have a problem with that at all because they think of it in terms of universality and indeed, we believe the Church is universal. God love you.
My husband was saved at a Methodist revival in the South when he was growing up. Spent a bit of time in it myself but was surrounded by a lot of pro-aborts who wanted to twist Scripture to condone a lot of unbiblical issues.
John Wesley has to be rolling in his grave to see what has happened today. I certainly admired the whole Wesley family (still do).
The “chaplain” of Planned Parenthood could be Episcopalian, Lutheran, or any number of denominations that have shifted or split doctrinally. Any denomination that holds membership to the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice will have to answer to God. I shudder to think.
Kay, somehow I doubt God really cares whether or not we humans have abortions.
Let’s hope Tiller the Killer’s link with (protection from) Sibelius the Rebellious comes out, and that Mr. O. will rethink appointing her to anything as well.

“Kay, somehow I doubt God really cares whether or not we humans have abortions.”
————————————————–
Hal, why did you choose to use the word ‘doubt’ instead of ‘know’?
yor bro ken
Hal,
God has given you the free will to doubt Him and reject Him but He still loves you to a degree you’ll never be able to truly fathom. I’ll be praying for you to realize how much He cares about you and ALL of His creation.
Love,
Kay
Hal, He made His thoughts on killing pretty clear.
Well, He chooses not to do much about it. Talk about “mysterious ways!”
Hal,
In God’s time you will see the error in your ways and pro-aborts remembrance will be wiped from he face of the earth.
Agreed about Wesley. Truly amazing, as was Charles, his brother.
But the really amazing member of that family was their mother. How the Methodist church can have gotten so far away from the teachings of those two brothers (learned from faithful parents) I have no idea. It is a travesty.
Susannah Wesley is on my short list of heroes and if there is anyone here unfamiliar with her I highly recommend doing some research.
