White House poop
I’m surprised Obama didn’t order this baby killed.
About the following photo, Reuters added this caption:
A military usher suggests to a guest a better location than the crosshall of the White House to change a baby’s diaper before an event in the East Room in Washington May 1.
As someone who has visited the WH a few times, I’m amazed at this woman’s lack of class. One gets almost a sense of reverence when inside. What was she thinking?
There are no replicas of anything in the WH. The woman is sitting on a settée that once belonged to James Monroe, directly underneath the stairway going to the President’s private quarters. Her baby was certainly in harm’s way. I shudder to think what would have happened had President Abortion or First Lady Partial Birth Abortion seen this.
[HT: Daena]

She was thinking that her baby’s diaper needed changed?
And James Monroe’s been dead for at least a 178 years, so what does he need a settee for?
I think Anonymous should take a chill pill…cynical, but not ridiculous.
We live in a different time. People don’t hold anything in reverence anymore. Besides that, look whose in the WH, the atmosphere reflects the residence?
“I’m surprised Obama didn’t order this baby killed.”
wow, way to represent the movement, Jill.. And Christina, no chill pill needed. This isn’t just cynicism. It makes us look ignorant and lacking in class..
That baby could be predident one day. The constitution protects that baby after the baby is born. Clean bottom now the baby can pursue liberty and happiness.
“I’m surprised Obama didn’t order this baby killed.”
That was a cheap, low-rent comment that was so unnecessary and very unbecoming of leaders in the pro-life movement, of which I consider Jill to be.
Andrew Jackson and the barbarians have returned! They’re trashing the White House again! but I don’t think that President Jackson would have killed babies.
Danielle and Greg, don’t appreciate infanticide humor? Were the baby a tad younger, it wouldn’t be so funny. Obama repeatedly voted to let doctors kill those little ones.

Jill.
Really?
I don’t think the baby will be killed outright…the baby might be “punished”, though..
LOL- I love it. The people who wouldn’t bat an eye at seeing this child dead BEFORE his/her diapers could be changed are the ones outraged at infanticide humor.
Please, spare us.
Does the WH bathroom have a decent changing table or is it one of those silly pull down things that most babies just don’t fit on? (My Cecilia, age 22 months, cries when I use those because they are so unstable.) I say if there is no good table then why not change the baby on the priceless settee.
A great protest would be for a bunch of nursing moms to sit all over the WH and start feeding their precious infants. I wonder what Obama would say about that. :)
Please, spare us.

-No, spare ME, Kel. If you read the comments above mine, you will see that Jill’s comments managed to offend both sides of the aisle here.
I’ll not waste time dignifying the snark any further. I will assume today’s an especially trying day…and will re-engage when adults are ready to talk as adults.
For the record, I agree that it’s pretty tacky to change a baby’s diaper in the middle of the White House.

Nobody begs you to stay and tolerate our “childishness,” Danielle. You just can’t seem to stay away.
Should Jill be ashamed that the likes of Danielle and other PCers (who actively involve themselves in the killing of the unborn, btw) think her comments aren’t “adult” enough?
I think you know my answer.
Could she have been an international tourist? Not that that excuses anything, but I know people from cultures that differ wildly from US norms, who see no problem with changing a baby’s diaper on the table or on an extra chair at a restaurant, letting a kid pee into a cup in the lobby of a theater, etc.
That poor woman; she must be mortified.
Abortion is offensive, Danielle. So is infanticide. And there’s no real difference between the two. What magic turns the fetus from a non-person into a person as it passes through the birth canal? Get real! Take your own advice, and grow up!
Danielle, I agree that Jill’s joke is kind of lacking finesse, but don’t overlook all the good she has done which makes this a better world for the defenseless. This world is lacking in people like Jill who is willing to step up to the plate to do what she does, so keeping talking and don’t let one miss-step be the final judgement!
Alexandra,
I was going to suggest the same thing . And not only necessarily “international”; just an immigrant from a different culture. Many foreign cultures lack our society’s Apostate Puritan hang-ups.
(Such as showing reverence for a silly piece of furniture that belonged to a secular leader).
Kel, I admire your convictions which clearly shows in your comment! If we pro-lifers are accused of being intolerant does that help the cause? King Solomon many years ago said “A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger”, does ring true even today 8-)
“(My Cecilia, age 22 months, cries when I use those because they are so unstable.)”
Same here!!! I refuse to use them because they DO seem very unstable.
Please people it’s just a diaper, and everyone’s worn one at one time, even Obama and his white house staff…
Also if you look closely she has a changing pad under her baby so it’s not like she put a bare bottom on the chair…
Just imagine this little child growing up and filling her pants again when she sees how much her share of the national debt is.

I’m afraid Andrew Jackson killed more than a few Native American babies, especially being he was the first president to initiate the forced relocation of tribes. Thousands died on these force marches, and I’m sure that included a few babies.

Hi Ban,
Honestly, if being intolerant of the senseless slaughter of the unborn makes me a bad person, then I guess I’ll bear that title.
For someone who is actively involved in the abortion of children (as Danielle is) to come here in feigned righteous anger at a term that was used in a pro-life blog, rebuking the OWNER of this blog, miffs me quite a bit.
You see, it’s not the ACT of the killing of the unborn that outrages these people, but the fact that pro-lifers dare to speak their minds on the issue and happen to use words with which they don’t agree.
But thanks for the rebuke.
I think the situation is kind of hilarious myself.
JC, I like your comment about the James Monroe’s settee. Personally I think the old boy would think its a hoot.
Ban, 3:56p: I will accept your patronizing attempt to apologize on my behalf as well-intended. However, I’m fine without help like that.
I continually find it amazing that just the mere words spoken by Jill about infanticide have pro-abortionists in an uproar- but show them pictures of actual mutilated babies, and they just sigh and say “boring!”
Oh and I guess I should have added to that comment, “show them pictures of actual mutilated babies- which the president is huge part of allowing to continue happening– and they just sigh and say ‘boring!'”
I just love the picture and the title of this post. LOL
Bethany, BINGO.
Either they think they’re “boring” or they mock us for being “crazy” or they accuse us of “faking and doctoring” the photographs.
It must be really difficult to keep from getting dizzy with one’s own objections. :D
Yeah, really Kel!
Oh and I also find it funny that pro-abortionists have no problem with commenters like “Ethel” calling Jill a terrorist with absolutely no basis for that idea….but are “appalled” by jill’s reference to Obama as a supporter of infanticide, even though they know she has actually had first hand experience with this and has facts to verify that it is true…
Obama’s new pet dog will undoubtedly damage a settee or two, or do worse damage to some other priceless relic in the White House.
What I want to know, is what did the woman do with the used diaper? If she’s like the majority of her ilk, she probably stuffed it under something else when no one was watching. “Cultural difference” indeed.
Jill,
I apologize for my statement which is viewed as patronizing. I acknowledge all the good you have done. However, on this point we can choose to disagree, a joke like this will not help the cause.
Ban, FWIW I didn’t find you patronizing. Your words were a lot more charitable than the ones I’m restraining myself from writing at this moment.
I’ll just close by saying that I wish all the prolifers here the very best in the fight to save the unborn. God bless.

What are you talking about? What is “her ilk?”

“For the record, I agree that it’s pretty tacky to change a baby’s diaper in the middle of the White House.”
—————————————————
For the record, it is pretty tacky for the POTUS to be serviced by a White House intern.
Bill Clinton smoked pot and never inhaled, but White House intern Lewinsky did.
It is pretty tacky to steal the linen from the White House.
It is pretty tacky turn the White House into a
‘bed and breakfast’.
It is pretty tacky to decorate the White House christmas tree with little elves who look like they have overdosed on Viagra.
pbho will have to go some to outdo the clintons in the ‘tacky department’ but I have confidence that he can and will do it.
This is what it means to be a post modern progressive which is just a euphemistic term for a decadent liberal.

Alexandra,
It couldn’t have been an “international tourist”. After 9/11, Bush’s crew banned all foreigners from the daily White House tours.
The intellectual(not to mention ethical)standards spiked dramatically upwards on January 20th, so perhaps tourists might once again enjoy the magnificence of our nation’s greatest symbol.
I didn’t know that, Farslowe!
Still, as JC accurately pointed out, there are a lot of subcultures within the US that differ in their views on what’s seen as acceptable.
Any sources for that claim, Farslowe?
The truth or falsity of Farslowe’s claims makes no difference. As a foreigner (a Canadian), I would have no problem with being banned from touring the residence of the ruler. In fact, after September 11 of 2001, such a ban would make good sense, at least so it seems to me. (In the new administration’s scheme of things, of course, the real terrorists are you and I, the right-wing extremists.)

Good point. Obama needs to live in mortal terror of our returning service men and women.
He will however bow to a foreign king and kiss the backsides of dictators and tyrants.
Jill, it seems my joke about Obama’s treatment of babies in the White House was deleted. Your sick attempt at humor is just fine, but mocking you with your own words is not.
How deliciously hypocritical of you.
Posted by: Ethel at May 5, 2009 12:20 PM—————– Oh Ethel, Puleeze. You pro-deathers are just dandy with 4000 dead babies in the USA every day. You know, that old “abortion on demand” crapola. Now you are offended by a dead baby joke?
I guess if the baby is WANTED, it’s just not in good taste to crack jokes. Never mind the fact that a severed fetal head was found in one abortion clinic’s frig, in a jar, with a note attached that read “HI, REMEMBER ME?” This was apparently hilarious to the abortion staff!!!
…and it was a practical joke played on a staff member returning from her vacation.
*now I must go vomit*

No, “Ethel,” your post was deleted because you can’t seem to decide who you are on these message boards. Pick a name: Ethel or Farslowe, but not both. You are not allowed to post under both monikers.
Thanks.
