Isn’t it hilarious, and totally expected, that liberals and/or Democrats would tie themselves up in knots to “explain” Reid. I haven’t heard any “explanation” so far for the coffee remark by “America’s First Black President” Bill Clinton.
That is a tad trickier I must admit, but I’m sure someone will think of something. After all, columnist Ellen Goodman did find a way to “explain” how feminist icon Bill Clinton flashing Paula Jones wasn’t sexual harassment. She did have to tie herself up in knots, her arguments were laughable but hey, give her credit for trying.
Poor liberals, if only Rush Limbaugh or Mitch McConnell had made those comments and not Reid and Clinton. If only Clarence Thomas had talked dirty to Paula! :)
Ahhh, nothing funnier than a mentally unstable future TV host holding a gun. Good times.
How is Sarah Palin mentally unstable, ex-GOP? You laugh at people who question Obama and think we’re kooks and then you come out with ridiculous statements like that and make yourself look like an pouting child. Jealous much? She’s beautiful, intelligent and people like her (despite media bias against her). Get over it.
Maybe unstable is not the word, but there’s something odd there:
“As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It’s Alaska. It’s just right over the border.” –Sarah Palin, explaining why Alaska’s proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience, interview with CBS’s Katie Couric, Sept. 24, 2008
“All of ’em, any of ’em that have been in front of me over all these years.” –Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008
“They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan.” –Sarah Palin
“I think on a national level your Department of Law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out.” –Sarah Palin, referring to a department that does not exist while attempting to explain why as president she wouldn’t be subjected to the same ethics investigations that compelled her to resign as governor of Alaska
Palin’s final speech in Alaska as she stepped down: “It is as throughout all Alaska that big wild good life teeming along the road that is north to the future.”
Fact check on Palin’s new book – who knew it would take so many pages? http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=9083389
I suppose I’ll always be shocked as well that she returned to work what, two days after the birth of Trig?
I’m sure she’ll do great on Fox! Maybe I’ll have to find out if we get FoxNews – proud to say I don’t know if we do!
Ex-GOP….You *almost* had a point…and then you went and messed it all up by using abc news as a source. I mean, seriously. abc news? You are kidding yourself if you think there is anything remotely believable that comes out of that network.
MamaMT – the factcheck was actually done by AP, reported on by ABC and about 200 other places – so I could provide other links – ABC was just first alphabetically (with no current aardvark network or anything else!)
How is Sarah Palin mentally unstable
Well, for one thing, she doesn’t encourage election fraud the way a good liberal host would.
The right doesn’t like ABC news either? That’s a new one to me.
I suppose I’ll always be shocked as well that she returned to work what, two days after the birth of Trig?

I hate to tell you but a lot of women return to work that soon after giving birth, myself included. Why does this shock you and what is wrong with it? We still have to care for the baby, and usually other children as well, and even at the times I did take more time off I had the office calling me non-stop.
“Ahhh, nothing funnier than a mentally unstable future TV host holding a gun.”
In about a year, Barbara Boxer will be free to do a point-counterpoint show with her.
“Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008”
Are you still repeating this howler? “Wouldn’t name” isn’t the same thing as “unable to name.” If I were running for veep and Couric told me to name my preferred news sources, I’d tell her to go walk off a pier. No politician should ever reveal his/her news sources.
Sarah Palin with her gun was my favorite….it’s only a cartoon and meant for humor. Take a chill pill EX GOP Voter
Two places where the AP “fact-checkers” were fact checked:
NRO – Mark Styn Nov 14, 2009 Rogue’s Eleven

Conservatives4palin – Nov 15, 2009

You can start with the assumption that the AP is unbiased, but if you critically evaluate what they said, you can see they are grasping at straws.
I love that Palin is pro-life and outspoken about it.
I would love it if she were at the March for Life!
Hey all:
You of course know by now there are some bloggers who do not contribute anything positive to the discussion. Do not waste your time on responding to them. We pro-lifers are here because, unlike them, we are serious people that understand the terrible tragedy of abortion. On an average day some 3000 babies are destroyed, quite savagely I might add, by abortion procedures of one sort or another. Meanwhile the un-serious among us insist on introducing silly notions and academic exercises that go on ad infinitum to no constructive end. We are best to keep our focus on things that really matter.
Mary, I don’t think we will hear anything about Bill Clinton’s comments because no one is surprised or shocked by his antics, and neither do we expect moral guidance from those quarters. What would be news is if he actually said or did something profound and sincerely meant it.
Jerry,
Amen.
Re: Palin.
I’ll just shamelessly borrow a phrase from the Maha-Rushie himself:
“Guns, babies, and Jesus!”
Sarah Palin is easy on the eyes, pro-life, and seems to speak and govern as a conservative, but she annoys me almost as much as Sen. Kay Bailey [bubblhead] Hutchison.
They both have a tendency to speak before their brains are fully engaged.
If I were a republican I know I would have just violated Reagans 11th commandment, but I honestly believe Ronald would agree with me….at least in private.
Something is just not right with either the Senator or the Governor.
They just seem to be out of their element.
Congressperson Michelle Baumann does seem to have her act together.
But I am looking for the american version of Margaret Thatcher.

Golda Meir. She had some hutzpha.
I always wondered if she was Lyndon Johnson’s long lost twin sister who was kidnapped at birth.
I think it would be neat if America’s first female president was also Jewish.
Mazletov!
I can only imagine what sort of thoughtful comments Harry Reid would make about her.
