New Live Action sting: CEO lies – Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms
Live Action has just released findings of a new undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood.
This time LA fact-checked CEO Cecile Richards’ recent claim on the Joy Behar Show that if PP is defunded “millions of women in this country are going to lose their health care access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning – you know, mammograms, cancer screenings, cervical cancer.”
Wait, mammograms?
No. An LA actor called 30 PPs in 27 states to always get the same answer: No mammograms here.

As I posted on February 24, no PP anywhere in the US performs mammograms.

Hi RSD, I was just going to say that! Yes, we must keep praying and contacting our reps.
Working for PP is every adolescent guy’s dream come true. Women come in and pay you to feel up their breasts for no medically useful purpose, because whether or not a lump is detected a referral for a mammogram will be written. (my wife is laughing hysterically as she reads over my shoulder, telling me I missed my chance)
We now need a full investigation of Susan G. Komen and their donations to PP which were ostensibly for mammograms. Where exactly DID that money go? It’s swamp-draining time!

SGK gives to PP for WHAT EXACTLY?? Couldn’t be mammograms since PP doesn’t do them.
I believe Richards is clearly displaying the PP culture of lies.
IF the head of a large organization like PP can go on national tv and lie about what they do just to get the $$ they want…what can you expect from the rank and file?

But this was just too easy….
Some commenters on other news articles are saying that some PP’s do mammograms. First, I don’t believe it. Second, if they did, why wouldn’t the employees know? If I go to a chain store and they don’t have what I’m looking for, sometimes an employee will look up another store on their computer or even, gasp!, call the other store. Imagine that!
But, after I found out how much money the Susan Komen organization gives to PP, I stopped buying anything with pink ribbons on it.
@ninek: I did too. I used to always buy the pink ribbony stuff when it was available, but finding out SGK and PP were in bed together…ugh. I just can’t.
