Pro-life teen flash mob surprises California Planned Parenthood teen rally
On May 3 a cheery pro-life flash mob of nearly 100 high school and college students struck again – this time at Planned Parenthood’s Teen Capitol Day Rally in Sacramento, CA.
PP advertises its event as “free” and “fun,” and tells students if they participate, not only will they “get a day off school,” but “your teachers will think you’re cool.”
But, as usual, it seems pro-lifers are the ones who had the real fun here. The students – both homeschooled and those from St. Francis High School, CA State University Sacramento, and other area schools – chanted pro-life slogans, prayed, danced, and marched from Capitol Plaza downtown to the Convention Center after surprising the PP rally with their now-signature yellow “LIFE” balloons:

Love that cheering priest!
Before the event PP advertised “800” would attend, but by the looks of the video as well as photos posted by a PP supporter (see a few below – click to enlarge) they were about 650 short…
As an ironic aside, while CA has no law providing that parents be notified before their minor daughters abort, and while PP invariably fights such legislation wherever it is introduced, PP did insist parents sign a permission form before their children could participate in its rally day. As a teacher, I sure as heck would NOT think my student was COOL if they went to the Planned Murderhood rally, what nonsense, they really should not speak for teachers, since most I know are pro-life! Then again, we have degrees, we took college BIOLOGY, so we know that it is not a blob of cells. I wish the planned parenthood workers would actually go to COLLEGE instead of reading scripts. So sad. GOOD FOR YOU GUYS DOING THE LIFE MOBS, I LOVE THEM! Wish to see them in ID.

Oh ho!!! Nice catch. A permission slip needed to participate at a PP rally, but no permission needed to abort at a PP. That is classic.

Sad Planned Parenthood has to bribe teenagers to come, instead of telling them what they really would be supporting….

Oh my gosh, Kel, I noticed that too!!!! LOL! Hypocrites much? Honestly. How messed up is that.

Very good point on the irony of PP asking for a permission form, while they advocate even against parental notifcation for abortion. I took part in the flash mob, and police questioned why I was not in school — I doubt the PP students at the lobby day faced the same questioning : )

Love the pro-life teen chant!
That is odd that they had to have a permission slip to attend the gathering, but don’t need one for an abortion.

Expect to see yellow balloons covering more of the skies.
I predict that next year’s March for Life we’ll see nothing but yellow for miles and miles.

AWESOME! I love it! I love the culture of life within youth of today. When I was a teen I was very vocally pro-life and some of my teen friends would say “I am pro-life too Sydney but can you tone it down a little? You’re obsessed.” NO KIDDING! This is LIFE AND DEATH! I couldn’t believe their apathy. I was a little bit of a coward then… I wanted to join my voice with others, not be the only voice.
And this generation… they make me proud! They are fearless. And now they are the majority. YES!

Haha some teen should get a “judicial bypass” of that authorization form to attend the Planned Parenthood rally…

One of our recent trolls stated, in so many words, that the prolife movement consists of old, people and will eventually die out. Doesn’t look like it to me. My daughter told me that her boyfriend is prolife. Now I like him even more!

Yay! I love this flash mob! If something similar ever comes to Colorado, you’ll definitely see me there.
Also, about the permission slips, they want people to abort. They want it to be as easy as possible, because it means big bucks for them. On the other hand, they wouldn’t want all those lifers showing up to their rallies. It obviously didn’t work, but they were stuck cheering from across the street rather than in the middle of their little area.

Wasn’t there a line in “Tie A Yellow Ribbon” that said it means “you still want me”?
That priest nearly jumped out of his cassock (?) ! You go, Padre!

Lucy+9 – bless you for your support of that event – those flash mobs are fantastic – what better way to help people see the contrast between the Pro-Life and pro-abortion crowds – what did you tell the police officer?

I’m going to Teen Capitol this year and i’m FULLY aware of what i’m getting into. I’m glad that pro-life teens are fighting for what they believe in, just as I’m doing with my stands on Pro Choice and LGBT rights. Yes, my mom signed my permission slip and knows exactly what I’m doing. This is for more than just abortion, I hope you all realize that. You don’t have to agree with me, I respect your choices but shouldn’t it be just that? A CHOICE.
