  • ProLifeBlogs links to a CNS News report about pro-abortion Hillary Clinton’s recent speech in which she claimed every life matters. Clinton was, of course, not speaking about the preborn. (After all, she “told the audience at the sixth annual Women in The World Summit last week that ‘religious beliefs’ must be changed for the sake of abortion.”) No, she was speaking about cases in which Black men have been killed by police officers. Clinton is a good example of the compartmentalization of abortion proponents. Perhaps if preborn babies could vote or donate to political campaigns, they could warrant some consideration from her.

Columnist: GOP should confront Democrats, media on abortion

by Kelli The other reason the GOP’s presidential nominee should go on the offense on abortion is that the Democratic Party’s abortion platform is extreme — and its likely presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, is no exception. Democratic presidential candidates typically support abortion measures that a majority of Americans find extremely distasteful, like late-term abortions, federal […]

House Democrats fail to attach hostile amendments to pro-life riders

Pro-choice abortion amendment to pro-life riderPro-life politicos were pleasantly surprised yesterday when House Democrats failed to attach hostile amendments to two pro-life riders that were part of the Financial Services Appropriations bill, which passed 228-195.

During committee debate, House Pro-Choice Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Louise Slaughter expressed her disdain for both the Harris Amendment, which ensures Multi-State Plans under Obamacare do not cover elective abortions, and the DC Hyde Amendment, which blocks federal funding for most abortions. So did the White House in a statement, and District of Columbia Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton squawked about DC Hyde during the Rule debate.

Even had they not publicly griped, Democrats as a matter of course add hostile amendments to these annual pro-life riders, even if it’s obvious they’ll lose. (The amendments, if passed, would gut the riders.) They like to showboat.

But yesterday the hostile amendments never materialized. Why?

South by Southwest: Pro-life laws eradicating abortion clinics

Screen Shot 2014-06-03 at 10.08.53 AM

There is a mesmerizing time-lapse video at the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois, that in four minutes shows the North’s four-year takeover of the South during the Civil War (screen shots above – view a video clip here).

I was reminded of that video when viewing this GIF from Planned Parenthood. Click on the image to launch…

Colorado funds confidential birth control for 12-year-olds

by Kelli A yearlong investigation in Colorado uncovered shocking information. Colorado state law allows children to have access to “reproductive health services” without needing their parents’ knowledge or consent first. And at these “BC4U” — Birth Control 4 You — clinics, funded by taxpayers, children as young as 12 are able to get birth control […]

On January 31, pro-life hero Cal Zastrow was standing vigil in the biting Michigan winter cold at the Women’s Center of Saginaw abortion clinic when an SUV bearing the insignia, “Holy Cross Children’s Services” pulled into the parking lot. According to Cal in an email update:

BREAKING: IL Supreme Court upholds 18-yr-old parental notification law

breakingToday, in a unanimous ruling, the Illinois Supreme Court issued a decision to uphold a parental notification law enacted way back in 1995.

This is FABULOUS news, since Illinois has become known as the abortion dumping ground of the Midwest – the only state without any parental involvement law in force, while all surrounding states have such measures.

Thomas More Society, the pro-life legal team based in Illinois that has been pushing enforcement of this law, has posted a synopsis of this incredibly drawn out court battle.

  • At The Public Discourse, Michael New notes the fact that abortion has not delivered on its promises to reduce the out-of-wedlock birthrate, the incidence of child abuse, or the crime rate.
