CNN says there are “relatively slight” differences between Romney and Obama
Romney’s greatest divergences with the Obama administration are in [the social policy] area, particularly on abortion (which he has always opposed, despite taking no action on the issue as governor), stem cell research, his pro-death penalty stance and policy towards homosexuals in the military.
However, with the exception of stem cell research, if elected he is unlikely to be willing to expend political capital to change the status quo.

I support Rick Santorum, but many, even smart people and well known conservatives (e.g Haley, Sekulow, etc), still endorse Romney and the media, of course, plays as it’s all set in stone. Unfortunately, people end up believing that Romney is the only option.
I’m a Santorum girl myself. But if the choice is between Romney and Obama, then my decision is clear, even if it is painful. I will not vote for Obama, under any circumstances.

However, I believe now is not the time to settle for whoever the media pushes. Now it’s the time to choose the best of the candidates and that is NOT Romney.
Oh, hi, CNN! Trying to split the Republican vote by showcasing how conservatives won’t vote for Romney and probably soon encouraging someone like Ron Paul as a “true conservative” 3rd party candidate? Yeah. That’s what I thought.

xalisae, the media is having a love affair with Romney. They push him as the only candidate at every possible chance because they know he doesn’t stand a chance against Obama. Any of the other candidates will rip him apart in debates, but Romney would be steamrolled by Obama, just like he was last night.

Andrew, my thought is that the media loves who’s closer to their own “un-values” (paraphrasing Alice in the Wonderland). They love Obama and they don’t hate Romney!
I would almost say, that it feels like the liberal media is saying “if we really have to have a conservative candidate, Romney is the only one we can tollerate”.

Their “love affair” is because he IS an Obama clone in elephant’s skin. Remember? The media was all, “See? they have Obamacare in Romney’s state and HE’S a Republican! That proves it’s not the Obamacare Republicans don’t like, just our dear leader’s skin!” Makes me sick.
I bet ya if Romney DOES get the nomination to run against Obama we WILL finally have a third party win! Because it will be Socialist pro-abortion Romneycare vs. Socialist pro-abortion Obamacare and that’s a non-choice. Everyone will look over at Ron Paul, who won’t drop out no matter what, and say, “Alright I’m sick of this same old song and dance! Every “Republican” getting voted in ends up being another Rhino socialist crony! >:( I vote ‘hands off’ and lets see what happens!”

Ron Paul is almost as dangerous as Romney. His foreign policy is horrendous, and he believes abortion needs to be left up to the states. Why? Do we do that for murder?
Santorum is pumping oxygen and values back into the American social sphere. Obama and the left have been trying to drain values from the public sphere and make the public sphere void of all values – a black hole – where neutrality reigns. However, as students of science know, a black hole is indiscriminate, it will consume anything in its pull. Similarly, the black hole in the social sphere ends up not only destroying human values but human beings as well.
Santorum for 2012. He is pro-business. He recognizes that although big business has the funds to meet the burdens imposed on them due to various deregulations they probably don’t want to and would be more profitable if they didn’t need to meet this phony and often destructive regulations. The Obama big business regulations promote the social black hole.

I’m not endorsing Romney. I hate him. He’s the biggest phoney ever. But if Santorum can’t pull it out, I’m afraid that’s where we’ll be left.
Romney is your guy – the brilliant number crunchers at 538 put his odds of the nomination at 98%.
Romney – I’m okay with that – I agree with most of what he said (pre election), most of what he’s written (pre book edits), and most of how he has governed. :-)
Ex-GOP, your endorsement of Romney is a scathing indictment to conservatives.
