Pro-life student incurs wrath of pro-abortion Christian college
Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, is affiliated with the pro-abortion Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
So while Concordia touts “sending into society thoughtful and informed men and women dedicated to the Christian life,” its definition of “Christian” is at least in part unrelated to the Bible.
Bearing Concordia’s pro-abortion ideology in mind, it comes as no surprise that the school is threatening disciplinary action against 20-yr-old student Kate Engstrom for posting a video on YouTube of Minnesota Congressman Collin Peterson dissing Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life for refusing to endorse him for reelection.
MCCL had previously endorsed the supposed pro-life Democrat but took a pass this time because Peterson voted against repealing Obamacare, which includes abortion funding and the infamous mandate forcing religious employers to cover contraceptives, sterilization, and abortion drugs.
In the video Peterson calls MCCL “a bunch of extremists” and predicts, “This is the end of them as an organization,” because they opposed Obamacare, apparently rendering them partisan.
According to The Daily Caller, Concordia has now backpedaled on its threat to discipline Engstrom. Sunlight always helps. Here’s the video…

“pro-abortion Christian” is an oxymoron…
Please do not get the ELCA church mixed up with the LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) as the LCMS is very pro-life.
Better double check Collin Petersons record on Obamacare. He voted against Obamacare. Now he says he will not vote to repeal it?
You mean “christian” (as in ‘so-called’) college, not Christian college, because being PRO-abortion is NOT Christian. As Laurie said: that’s an oxymoron.
I looked at the story, since in this post I could see no info on what the threat was. I would describe this as ‘intimidation,’ not a ‘threat.’ And, it is a game of telelphone: the 20year old says what she believes her adviser intimated, which somehow came from someone official at the university. the story notes that the possible motivation is that community bigwigs were bothered abt having their man get embarrased. that seems very plausible, but there is no evidence of that.
the college now looks like they did intimidate a student for an act that seems nowhere near a school discipline problem.
if honorable, the school could declare full support of students simply being adult humans with freedoms. and then the school looks good. as it is, they look like this very weak case is all true.
we liberals loved it when abortion was under the radar. so sad it has emerged from a side topic to a leading topic these past 4 yrs.
