Planned Parenthood of Delaware abortionist ogled, slapped, played peek-a-boo with patients
… And that’s not the worst of it. I didn’t have room in my title for the hymn abortionist Timothy Liveright sang to one patient during her abortion, “Jesus, Ohhhhh Jesus, take the sinners down the river, Ohhhh Jesus.” Seems to me that was meant as some sort of double entendre for the abortion he was committing. Gross on so many levels.
I spoke yesterday with RN Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, pictured above right, who worked at Planned Parenthood Delaware’s Dover and Wilmington clinics for 3-1/2 months in 2012. During that brief time Jayne saw a lot. And what she saw left her “dumbfounded.”
Jayne had worked at a hospital for 25 years until she quit to care for her husband, who contracted ALS, i.e., Lou Gerhrig’s Disease.
After her husband passed away, Jayne decided to take a job at her local Planned Parenthood. She wanted to help women. “My goal was to educate on ways to prevent pregnancy, so women wouldn’t come back for another abortion,” she told me.
PP was a good organization, as far as Jayne knew. But from the moment she stepped into the Delaware PP clinics she felt like she’d stepped into a medical twilight zone.
“Nothing was right,” Jayne explained. “No drug guidelines, unsterile surgical technique, improperly cleaned instruments and rooms, and inadequately trained staff.”
But the worst offense of all was the clinic’s premier abortionist, Timothy Liveright.
Jayne documented what she saw and submitted letter after letter and email after email to her bosses, none of whom are any longer at the clinic, incidentally.
But Planned Parenthood Delaware liked Liveright. He was convenient. An abortionist circuit rider who lived in the Allentown, Pennsylvania, area, Liveright would fly himself to Delaware in his own private plane every week.
And he was speedy. “They were set on getting people in and out,” said Jayne. Liveright maintained such a hectic pace he sometimes cleaned surgical suites himself between patients, although not very well – leaving dried blood behind, according to Jayne. Liveright also refused to wear sterile gloves during abortions and wore smelly, blood stained scrubs.
Other incidents, excerpted from a letter Jane wrote to her bosses (with slight grammatical editing):
- “During a procedure that another doctor was performing, Dr. Liveright entered the room to see how things were proceeding. The doctors had a conversation regarding the faulty equipment in front of the patient…. After the doctors finished their conversation, Dr. Liveright struck the patient’s right lateral thigh with force with his opened hand, stating ‘BREATHE!’ The patient, shocked and puzzled, looked at me as if to say, ‘What is he doing?’ I suggested that Dr. Liveright must have some sort of unusual technique to help distract patients from the discomfort of the procedure. The patient looked at me, rolled her eyes, held my hand tight, and tried to relax and concentrate on her breathing. That is when Dr. Liveright peeks around the curtain (as he had not exited the room) and plays peek-a-boo with the patient. The patient then rolls her eyes and shakes her head stating, ‘He’s not right.’ The entire time this is happening, the other doctor is continuing to dilate the patient! I then stated, ‘Goodbye Dr. Liveright,’ as I pulled the curtain around his head….”
- “Sexual harassment: I have noted Dr. Liveright inappropriately look up and down patients as well as staff members in a sexual kind of way. He actually stands back with a grin and slowly directs his eyes up and down a patient’s body.”
Jayne said management told her Liveright had previously been disciplined for sexual harassment against a staff member.
Jayne’s letter also described Liveright as a racist in a bizarre incident with an African-American patient:
- “Dr. Liveright enters the room… and states… ‘Did you know that the Belgians took over Africa and did really bad things?’…. He continues to carry this conversation on with himself while he roughly dilates and then belittles the patient…. (by the way, a patient that is crying and holding on to my hand tight, as I try to distract her from him)…. He states, ‘The United States does the same thing. Did you know that?’ The patient, with tears falling down her cheeks, shakes her head, indicating, ‘No,’ which Dr. Liveright replies, ‘I didn’t think you’d know anything about that. Yup, the United States is a big bully.'”
Jayne also described Liveright coming to work late or leaving in the midst of providing services due to “emergencies,” such as a meeting with an airplane mechanic or a problem with his pet goats. (I don’t even want to think about that one.) This meant pre-op patients were left sedated in the waiting room….
- “A few of those medicated patients left the building and were outside smoking and such. Two patients were brought to me in the recovery room because they were ‘roaming outside confused and dazed.'”
Despite all that, PP would not take action. So Jayne turned to the State of Delaware and to the federal office of OSHA. She submitted the letter she had written to PP execs and provided additional information. They, too, dragged their heels. The state Department of Health & Human Services did inspect the facilities last autumn, but only after giving PP a heads up. No surprise, it found nothing out of line.
Finally, OSHA found an infraction. Armed with a letter from OSHA, Jayne and another former co-worker, Joyce Vasikonis, went to their local ABC News station.
At the same time, pro-lifers were releasing videotapes and 911 tapes of five emergency ambulance calls made to the clinic just since January. When pro-life grandmother Rae Stabosz was assaulted while taping one of them, the perfect storm peaked. ABC released an expose, and PP halted surgical abortions – but only temporarily, according to its new CEO.
Without pro-life diligence in maintaining vigil at the clinic to chronicle the emergencies, Jayne doesn’t think her story alone with have made the news.
“The right-to-life people are the ones who were able to bring this situation to light,” Jayne told me. “If right-to-lifers didn’t have those videos, this would have been swept under the rug. The other side gets so lost in abortion, they don’t even care. The right-to-life people are the only ones who care. What they’re trying to do is what’s right. Pro-choice people are all talk.”
Jayne still considers herself pro-choice, although she says her eyes have certainly been opened. Jayne now works with autistic foster children.
Kudos to Delaware Right to Life, Rae Stabosz, 40 Days for Life, and Operation Rescue, which noted this today:
Planned Parenthood of Delaware has temporarily halted surgical abortion services. This action makes Delaware the first state to be free from surgical abortions for any significant period of time since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision decriminalized abortion.
Liveright is still listed as working at the PP in Dover and a PP in San Jose, California. When I called the PP in CA, I was told no doctor by that name was employed there.
“Despite all that, PP would not take action. So Jayne turned to the State of Delaware and to federal office of OSHA. She submitted the letter she had written to PP execs and provided additional information. They, too, drug their heels. The state Department of Health & Human Services did inspect the facilities last autumn, but only after giving PP a heads up. No surprise, it found nothing out of line.

Amazing!! Abortion advocates want us to believe that it’s just another medical procedure. Obviously, a person who has actually worked with REAL doctors discovered immediately that things were DIFFERENT at an abortion clinic, and not only different, but her complaints were IGNORED by multiple people and agencies.
Safe Legal Rare.

Aw, I tried to strike-through the word safe and rare but it didn’t work! It must be time for the weekend :>). God bless Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich for her persistence. She may still be pro-choice but she seems to actually care about women.

He struck a patient? That’s assault and battery. Plays peek a boo. Is this romper room? He walks into a room where another doctor is performing a procedure. Is there no patient privacy or confidentiality? The doctor leaves to tend his goats? Is it too much to expect that he thoroughly cleans himself up before returning to tend to patient?
Paging Ilyse at NARAL-PC. You said you go to work every day determined to protect women. Lady, have you been asleep at the wheel!!

PP looking down its nose at Gosnell is looking more hypocritical by the minute.

Praise God that light was shed on the Gosnell clinic. Praise God that light was shed on the Deleware Planned Parenthood clinics. Praise God for the light being shed by the LiveAction videos. Please pray that more light will be shed on the evil of abortion. And, please pray that God will touch the consciences of the people of America that, when they see the evil, they will CARE, and then will stand up for the unborn little boys and girls who are being hurt by abortion, and the women who are being damaged by it. Pray for healing for the many, many who are suffering from a past abortion. Please pray, and then keep on praying!!

Hi Heather,
While I have you here, I checked Amazon and the book list on the subject of BPD has grown so extensively that I can’t find that particular book. I would suggest you browse through the list yourself and select the book that best suits you.

Well the abortion industry really seems to be able to attract the best and brightest doctors. [/sarcasm]

Every time I get on your blog, Jill, I find myself both heartened and disheartened. I am hopeful as to the future of the prolife movement. I believe that the prolife movement IS the future. And I am hopeful as to God’s Mercy and Grace. I am also disheartened by the prevalence of abuse in our world.*This* is how little we think of ourselves. To turn to a man like this for ‘help’, to work for a man like this, and for him, to spend his life tearing up a reflection of his own humanity. We as a people just have bought so heavily into the Enemy’s lie that we are never good enough, that we are now willing to torture our young for it. We have so fully committed to the idea that only material goods and wealth and achievements and earthly glory will make us worthy, that we are willing to kill our children for the lie. To make ourselves worthy, to make ourselves valuable.
“This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You will know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you.” John 14:17

Yes I believe abortionists are demon possessed Martin Ruddock Ohio abortionist is just as bad. His ex wife befriended pro lifers and engaged pro lifers in some chatter. She explained Marty was a sexual deviant and abusive. He’s maimed and left many women sterile. I’ve seen him rant like a lunatic with my own 2 eyes. I’m sure that he’s been abusive to many of his clients ….most are African American. Gee surprise surprise. His clinic is in a seedy part of town to attract the impoverished women
