Pro-abortion video game to be released in February 2014
In the interactive experience “Choice: Texas,” players choose a female avatar to navigate “the struggle with geography, time, and money to obtain abortions,” according to the developers behind the idea, Carly Kocurek and Allyson Whipple…
There will be five personas in total, including a high school student not ready to be a mother, a woman in a high-risk pregnancy and a married mother in dire financial circumstances.
“Think of it as a choose-your-own-adventure story,” the developers said in an August interview with Persephone Magazine.
An effort is now underway to raise $9,250 to cover the costs of developing the game, which is slated to drop in February.
~ Leslie Larson reporting on the abortion-seeking gaming experience whose serious development was inspired by Texas State Senator Wendy Davis’ filibuster of a pro-life Texas law, New York Daily News, August 29

Sick! Abortion should never be a laughing matter.

The vast majority of pregnant females seeking to murder their prenatal children are caucasian, unmarried and high school to college aged and most them are fraudulently deemed eligible for federal assistance thru medicare/medicaid.
When Planned Parenthood qualifies a pregnant female to receive funding from the government, the services provided are grossly expanded and the cost for the services is dramatically increased compared to services that are covered by private insurance or those for which the patient pays out of pocket.
[I predict there will be no fraud associated with mammograms.]
The whoredom of Planned Parenthood, a den of liars, thieves and murderers, is the single largest source of fraud in the history of medicare/medicaid.
This the whore’s Achilles heel:
Employees who rat out PP are not only granted immunity from prosecution, they are elligible for a ‘CA$H reward’ based on a percentage of the total fraud successfully prosecuted.
There is no honor among thieves, especially when betrayal is so lucrative. The claws will be bared and the fur will be flying. Granny panties will back in vogue as CYA will be the order of the day.
Hopefully intrepid investigators and ambitious prosecutors will follow the money trail all the way to the democRAT party coffers.

There ought to be an educational side-walk counseling video game that tests one’s ability to get a variety of abortion minded men and women to choose life based on your interactions with them. After a successful (or unsuccessful) play you could be rewarded with a video of a real life encounter similar to the virtual one you just experienced. Tips of where the virtual encounter might have gone right or wrong could also be a part of post play follow up.
Think of it as a flight simulator to sharpen ones skills and increase confidence for pro-life apologetics and sidewalk counseling.

I’m really curious about this – does it really allow choice?
If a girl wanted to parent – would the game let it?
How about the social isolation, the domineering ‘boyfriend’ and the demanding mother?
Does the game really allow choice?

Well asked, Chris Arsenault — if not the game is only a reflection of a pro-abortion mindset and not a reflection of pro-choice. The name of the game Choice: Texas is then definitely a misnomer.

Tommy R – I’ve thought about doing one of those kind of games for a while. It might work if there was a way to show body language. I’ve found facial expressions very instrumental in such serious conversations. Cartoons wouldn’t cut it. Maybe use video sequences.

I have a friend who plays tons of games on his computer. He showed me one where if you help the other characters, your wounds heal and you get stronger, but if you hurt the other characters, your avatar gets worse and worse looking. If you do good deeds, you have a chance to be rescued at the end of the game. I think the avatar is a prisoner, and you the player have to decide of you are a good man unjustly convicted, or a bad man that deserves to stay where he is. I wish I could remember the name of it!

As a video game connoisseur, I will say that the only people who are going to play this really, really boring sounding game is freshmen in college taking gender studies (and they’ll be forced to by a homework requirement). What a stupid concept.
Ninek there are a lot of character building games like that. They are pretty cool. Or you could just play an MMORPG and have to cooperate or all the other gamers will hate you.

@ Ninek: there actually a couple. The Fable games adjust your character’s growth, appearance, story line (somewhat), and how other characters respond to your character based upon how you act, good or ill. My husband was just talking about the one you mentioned specifically with the trial at the end being decided upon whether you chose to act for good or ill, but I can’t remember the name of it either! Although I don’t believe that one changes your physical appearance during the game based upon the choice. And there are a host of games where little side quests and such are based upon whether you choose to act in the main character’s best interest (selfishly) or in the best interest of others or whether you are rude or polite in your interactions with others.

They’ll do it for money….
This is a great idea for our pro-life wiz-kids. How about a game that shows the real-world result of all the choices? Certain scenarios could unlock real footage from Live Action’s undercover work. Take the avatar into an abortion clinic and feel the hard-sell and sketchy information and “No! You can’t see the ultrasound!” Take the avatar into a real Women’s Care Center and see how the patient is treated with respect and love and genuine care, with are real ultrasound on a big screen so she can experience the child and ask questions.

And will there be motherhood and adoption options in this game, or will choosing one of those get you “zapped” or something?

Jack, I can barely keep track of a 20-sided while I roll for an increase of agility skills; those games are way over my head. Lol!

Praying they don’t raise a dime. And nobody buys this or plays this and that
these two girls pour their energies into something more positive.

Jack,
Not suggesting it would be the next internet sensation. I had a flight simulator game and it was really boring so I gave it to a friend who was taking flight school and he really appreciated it.
I heard that people these days don’t read the bible because it’s boring and hard to understand. Still a best seller.
