  • Americans United for Life remarks on the Iowa court win upholding the ban on webcam abortions in the state. The ban was put in place by the Iowa Board of Medicine:

During the litigation, Planned Parenthood admitted that, under its preferred method of chemical abortion, a physician never physically meets with a woman. Moreover, staff members — such as certified medical assistants (CMAs) — conduct physical exams or ultrasounds instead of doctors or other licensed healthcare providers.

  • “Intellectual” Richard Dawkins told someone on Twitter that bringing a child with Down Syndrome to birth is “immoral.”
  • An Alabama abortion clinic (which couldn’t meet safety standards at its current location) has been given permission to relocate.
  • Martin Haskell’s abortion clinic in Sharonville, Ohio, is dropping its appeal. They’ll stop performing surgical abortions on Friday. The clinic apparently plans on trying to stay in business by offering RU-486 chemical abortions.

  • Ad Week asked 6 women in advertising to rebrand “pro-choice.” The results are… well… ummm… see for yourself. If this is the best they can come up with then maybe abortion advocates should stick with “pro-choice”:

Simply evolving the language and sentiment from pro-choice to something like pro-me would acknowledge that reproductive rights are a personal decision, one of many, that young women actively participate in every day.

New Stanek poll: Does a protracted, painful execution bother you?

I have a new poll question up:

Does a protracted, painful execution during the death penalty process bother you?

Executions have allegedly gone awry three times this year. In Arizona it took two hours for Joseph Wood to die by lethal injection. There have also been complaints about the  executions of Dennis McGuire in Ohio and Clayton Lockett in Oklahoma.

Does news like this bother you? See the poll on the right side of the home page.

For the previous poll question you overwhelmingly swung in favor of the pragmatic, the known…

Pro-lifers look beyond abortion clinic buffer zones to bubble zones, buffered homes

We are trying to get the WHOLE 11th circuit to review the case and then we will go tothe U.S. Supreme Court with it after that. It's never likely that SCOTUS will hear a case, but this one might just grab their attention. http://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/montana/pro-choice-pro-life-leaders-disagree-on-how-court-decision/article_f9de76f1-3200-53e1-bf25-ce958852056d.html http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2014-06-26/news/chi-abortion-protest-buffer-zone-20140626_1_buffer-zone-abortion-clinics-bubble-zone http://www.nbcnews.com/watch/nightly-news/abortion-clinic-protest-ruling-to-impact-several-states-290115651826 http://twitchy.com/2014/06/26/free-speech-wins-scotus-unanimously-overturns-expansive-abortion-clinic-buffer-zones-left-goes-nuts/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_protection_of_access_to_abortion http://www.wbur.org/2014/06/26/mass-officials-will-seek-new-buffer-zone-rules http://go.nationalpartnership.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=44019&security=3161&news_iv_ctrl=-1 http://www.carbonated.tv/news/abortion-clinic-protests-photos-videos http://www.salon.com/2014/06/26/do_what_we_tell_you_to_do_or_we_will_kill_you/The U.S. Supreme Court’s unanimous decision last week overturning Massachusetts’ 35-foot abortion clinic buffer zone law, which the court agreed unconstitutionally restricted the pro-life right to free speech, has implications far beyond similarly worded laws and ordinances around the country.

Driehaus-billboard Susan B. Anthony List Obamacare abortion

I have blogged several times about pitiful sore loser Steve Driehaus, the supposed pro-life Ohio Democrat congressman who voted for abortion inclusive Obamacare.

When Susan B. Anthony List planned to expose Driehaus for his vote in a billboard ad (above) during the 2010 election cycle, he filed a complaint with the Ohio Election Commission accusing SBA List of false advertising, and OEC blocked the ad from being erected.

Whoops! Planned Parenthood shows photo of abortion victim on Facebook

File this one in Planned Parenthood’s “whoopsie” folder to be sure.

Nevertheless, up on Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio’s Facebook page at the moment is a photo of an abortion victim, along with half an “ABORTION IS MURDER” sign. Note the “like’s” are all by pro-lifers. Click to enlarge…

Planned Parenthood Women Succeed Bus Tour with photo of abortion victim

The event being promoted by Planned Parenthood was a Columbus, Ohio, stop this morning of the “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds” bus tour, featuring pro-abortion Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Medical Examiner: Woman died of cardiac arrest during abortion

The cause of death reflects the subsequent effects of the cardiopulmonary arrest the decedent suffered during a pregnancy termination procedure. ~ Medical Examiner’s report on Lakisha Wilson (pictured right), age 22, who died on March 28, one week after submitting to a late-term abortion at Preterm, an abortion business in Cleveland, Ohio, via Operation Rescue, […]
