Pro-life vid of day: Graphic sex-ed presentations anger moms

by Hans Johnson While parents in New York are suing over their child being taken out of school to be given birth control, another district in Oregon is planning to hand out condoms to sixth-graders. Then there is the mother who attended  a presentation of sex-education topics with her daughter at Bellingham High School in […]

Shocking graph: Planned Parenthood’s market share now 1/3 of all U.S. abortions

2014-03-17_1222American Life League’s STOPP reported in February:

Here are some comparative numbers based on the Guttmacher report entitled “Abortion Incidence and Service Availability in the United States, 2011,” and Planned Parenthood’s annual reports, showing Planned Parenthood’s ever-increasing share of the U.S. abortion market:

Planned Parenthood committed 31.6% of abortions nationwide in 2011
Planned Parenthood committed 23.3% of abortions nationwide in 2006
Planned Parenthood committed 16.5% of abortions nationwide in 2001
Planned Parenthood committed 11.3% of abortions nationwide in 1996
Planned Parenthood committed 8.5% of abortions nationwide in 1991
Planned Parenthood committed 6.2% of abortions nationwide in 1986

The graph below shows that Planned Parenthood abortions continue to soar, even as national abortion rates have declined and leveled off.

  • At New Wave Feminists, our latest blog addition, Destiny says that her son, for whom she chose life when she experienced an unplanned pregnancy as a teen, was “the best thing that ever happened” to her. Rather than ruining her life, he made her strong:

Had I aborted him it would’ve been out of nothing but fear and panic. I would be living in bondage and regret to this day. Through bringing him into this world though I became a feminist, an activist, an advocate for women whose shoes I’ve traveled in. And because of that unplanned pregnancy I found out I was stronger than I ever knew I was. In my opinion, that’s what true feminism is all about.

  • 40 Days for Life looks back at the history of the infamous, now-closed Bryan/College Station Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. It was the site of the very first 40 Days campaign, and was also the place where former PP employee Abby Johnson experienced a pro-life conversion.

  • Another former employee of Planned Parenthood of Delaware is set to testify about the dangerous practices at their clinic:

Former manager Melody Meanor and two nurses said they will testify today at a legislative hearing in Wilmington that Planned Parenthood failed to inform as many as 200 women that they tested positive for gonorrhea and chlamydia, and failed to notify 87 women of results of their colposcopies.

Obamacare’s covert support of assisted suicide

ObamaCaredeathtaxesGuest post by Michael Cahill, Vista Health Solutions

Within the voluminous Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) legislation, if you look closely enough, you can find some interesting things that have been glossed over by the mainstream media. Things like secret abortion surcharges and assisted suicide, just to name a couple.

The controversy over federally endorsed abortion and its hidden surcharges has been well documented in conservative media. But there hasn’t been much coverage of late about the legislation’s covert support for physician-assisted suicide.

Teacher escorted off campus for opposing Planned Parenthood

[Apparently], it is much more important for the school to have Planned Parenthood at Benson than it is to have a teacher teach computer science and math. ~ High school teacher Bill Diss (pictured), who was escorted by police out of his classroom at Benson High School in Portland, Oregon, last week because of […]

  • Pro-Life Action League reports on a huge free speech victory for pro-lifers in Rockford, Illinois, home of the infamously profane (and thankfully, now closed) Northern Illinois Women’s Center:

The settlement comes after more than five years of federal litigation stemming from harassment of pro-life individuals and other federal civil rights violations on the part of some members of the Rockford Police Department.

As part of the terms of the settlement, Rockford police officers will be required to attend a training program on citizens’ First Amendment rights, with the specific aim of preventing wrongful arrest of citizens for taking part in constitutionally-protected activities.
