• Bound4Life writes about Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit against the state of Arizona in which they are seeking to prevent the enforcement of legislation that would require them to prescribe the chemical abortion pill RU-486 according FDA safety guidelines. So much for caring about women’s safety.

If you didn’t know what was going on inside pro-abortion world, the Huffington Post piece Planned Parenthood Executive VP Dawn Laguens posted on July 30 in response to the July 28 New York Times article, “Advocates shun ‘pro-choice’ to expand message,” would seem out of left field.

As I explained in a blog last week, the NYT article simply elaborated on a decision Planned Parenthood made 18 months ago to abandon the term “pro-choice” as antiquated.

This is where Laguens seemed to go off on a tangent:

In January 2013 came news that shocked both sides of the abortion debate: Planned Parenthood had determined the term “pro-choice” was no longer helpful and recommended abandoning it.

This news really was titanic. “Pro-choice” was the abortion movement’s self-chosen descriptive term for over 40 years. To abandon it was to abandon an identity, surely unnerving to activists on the street, who found cover and solace in the euphemism.

• Suzy B links to an article in the New York Times discussing their efforts to teach politicians and pro-lifers in the public eye how to frame discussions on abortion and life issues.

In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s June 26 decision striking down Massachusetts’ 35-foot buffer zone law, the City of San Francisco has become squishy about enforcing its buffer zone ordinance, ticking off Planned Parenthood in the process.

San Francisco’s ordinance, which bans abortion opponents from entering a 25-foot line of demarcation around abortion clinics, is “virtually identical” to Massachusetts’ now voided law, minus 10 feet.

Now, San Francisco pro-life activists are allegedly feeling their oats and defying the ordinance by crossing the line.

I wanted to spotlight our newest advertiser, the Anti-Choice Project , which is scouting for like-minded pro-life activists to launch new chapters.

Founded in 2009 by longtime pro-life activists Tom Herring and Andrew St.Hilaire (pictured below), Anti-Choice Project’s goal is to “educate Americans about the horror of abortion… through the public display of babies aborted during the 1st trimester of pregnancy.”

This week, due in part to connections I’ve been able to establish across the pro-life spectrum, I was able to:

• do original pro-life reporting in my post, “Planned Parenthood captures abortion monopoly in Texas”
• delve much deeper into a story barely covered by the mainstream media in my post, “Judge blocks Kissimmee Planned Parenthood from committing abortions”
• provide the sorely missing pro-life angle in my post, “Pro-life activists wreak havoc on New Orleans’ pro-abortion peace”

Each of these stories took several hours to several days to investigate and pull together. I was only enabled to do this thanks to the generosity of pro-lifers who freed my time to focus on pro-life journalism.
