Senate Democrats move to permanently kill Mexico City policy
by intern Heather B.
President Obama’s repeal of the Mexico City Policy, an amendment established “to restore the prohibition on funding of nongovernmental organizations that promote abortion as a method of birth control,” has opened the door to a larger threat of devastating proportions to the international community….
The bill (S.AMDT.65), instituted by Ronald Reagan in 1984, has fluctuated in power disposed of by the executive office for the past several decades: although rescinded by Bill Clinton in 1993, George W. Bush reinstated it while in office, only for it to be repealed by President Obama on January 23, 2009 – just 3 days after his official inauguration.
According to LifeSiteNews, on July 9 the Democrat-controlled Senate Appropriations Committee voted 17-11 for an amendment that would extract a 6-figure sum of federal tax dollars from vital resources for health care and codify President Obama’s executive order, thereby preventing future presidents from exercising executive order in reviving the Mexico City Policy.
This new amendment poses a far more hazardous threat to the foreign population than in previous years. Now it will advance to a consensus by the full Senate later this summer.
The bill allots a prodigious $628.5 million to budget toward abortion industries internationally, of which $50 million would directly endorse the United Nations Population Fund. Despite claims made by the UNFPA, recent investigations have confirmed earlier proof indicating its involvement in supporting China’s one-child policy tactics, which include inhumane practices such as forced abortion and sterilization.
Surveys evaluating voters’ responses to President Obama’s recent executive actions acknowledge his Mexico City Policy decision to be the least popular use of power. While approval ratings of the President’s earlier actions are at 75%, only 35% indicate approval of his initiative to fund abortions abroad, says LifeSiteNews.
It costs approximately $30 per month to save one child from hunger, but our president heralded his inauguration by allotting the government $628.5 million to killing unborn children. What’s wrong with this picture?

we could save something like 125000 children from hunger by putting this money into saving children from starvation (at $30 a month x 12 months) instead of aborting babies.
$30 mo x 12 months: 360 for one year
628.5 MILLION / $360 = 1745833.3333333333333333333333333

Enough said.
Well I could add some additional photos, but I don’t want to scare the children.

This post, like so many others, reinforces the need for pro-lifers to be committed to positive action, including consistent prayer. It’s important for us to remember to ask God to set His hand against policies that would bring harm to unborn boys and girls, here in the U.S. and abroad.
I think it’s also so important to remember to pray for the unborn children who live right in our own communities and who are, right now, at this very moment, threatened by abortion. Sometimes we forget that it is a woman down the street, just across town, right in our own community, who is planning to obtain an abortion. Please pray/keep praying for moms who are in crisis and babies who are under threat of abortion right in your very own community.
Amen, Liz and Valerie!
I thought Bill Clinton was bad enough..this guy (Obama) seems to have an absolute HATRED for unborn babies! God help us.
My goodness, ken, you crack me up. I’ll have my dad put down his guns and religion for a second so I can have him print those out and show them around at work.

I recommend that he multitask.

Neh 4:17-23
17 Those who built the wall and those who bore burdens loaded themselves so that everyone worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other hand,
18 And every builder had his sword girded by his side, and so worked. And he who sounded the trumpet was at my side.
19 And I said to the nobles and officials and the rest of the people, The work is great and scattered, and we are separated on the wall, one far from another.
20 In whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.
21 So we labored at the work while half of them held the spears from dawn until the stars came out.
22 At that time also I said to the people, Let everyone with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that at night they may be a guard to us and a laborer during the day.
23 So none of us — I, my kinsmen, my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me — took off our clothes; each kept his weapon [in his hand for days]. AMP

It is even worse for Obama (when compared to Bubba). He is fresh off his fun and games tour to Rome where it is said he told the Pope he is committed to reducing abortions. Apparently the boys and girls over at the legislative branch did not get the memo. In this regard, at least, Clinton was not as brazen. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I do not believe Clinton ever told the leader of the 1.1 billion member Catholic church such a whopper.
