Jivin J’s Life Links 12-23-09

On Page 41 (lines 5-8) of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s manager amendment, the proposed rules mandate that everyone buying insurance through new exchanges or through the new government-run plan must pay a monthly abortion premium to be used for elective abortion services. This fee applies “without regard to the enrollee’s age, sex or family status.” That means that people who have no possibility of wanting an abortion themselves will pay for others to have them…
On Page 43 (lines 1-7), insurance companies will be required to assess the cost of elective abortion coverage, and on Page 43 (lines 20-22) they are mandated to charge a minimum of at least $1 per enrollee per month to cover abortion…..
Many Americans wanted to believe Mr. Nelson was a decent man of his word, but the senator caved in when his vote could have made a difference for the lives of the unborn. A politician can’t get any more despicable than that.
Russell Turnbull, 38, had ammonia squirted into his right eye after he tried to break up a row on a bus. His attacker caused massive damage to his cornea and left him with Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency.
But Russell can finally see again after stem cells were taken from his good eye and grown in a lab. They were then implanted in the damaged eye and began to function as normal without any rejection.
Scott Roeder, 51, has confessed to shooting the physician, George Tiller, on May 31 and said it was necessary to save unborn children. Roeder listened intently as the judge gave a lengthy recitation of case precedents that mostly undermined that contention.
If you disagree with a progressive/liberal/humanist, particularly a sectarian humanist, then they assume you are confused or too stupid to understand what they are saying.
Then they adopt this matronistic/patronistic (Don’t want to offend any genders sensitive articial flowers out there.) condescending attitude and begin speaking to you like you are young child or mentally retarded.
When you refute their bovine scatualtion with logic and reason, they remember they had an important appointment and scurry off to find someone else to baffle with their tautological circular reasoning.
Think of puppy in frantic pursuit of his/her own tail who when she/he is unfortunate enough to apprehend the appendage bites it real hard and then in a knee jerk reaction to the unknown source of the pain and in anger clamps down again even harder.
Most puppies possess the good sense to run through a rudimentary logic tree and do a little cause/effect analysis and determine the pain was coincidental with the biting of that ‘thing’ and when they stopped biting the pain immediately began to subside.
Too bad progessive/liberal/humanists don’t have tails to teach them.
Evolution rears it’s ugly head once again.

Progressive/liberal/humanists learn slow and forget guick.

With regard to the Washington Times link.
I’ve looked at the bill, and from what I can tell, the “abortion premium” is only levied on people in a plan that covers abortion. If you go to the NRLC web site and read their most recent letter to the Senators ( http://www.nrlc.org/AHC/NRLCReidBillScoreLetter.pdf ) this seems to be their analysis of the bill as well.
Of course it is true that under the Senate bill our taxes would subsidize both abortion-covering and non-abortion-covering plans…..which is not a good thing.
Ken, Merry Christmas from your favorite secular humanist.
And too everyone else as well. Have a great holiday everyone. May you experience peace and love.

Ken,
Yes, and they also assume you are listening to the wrong radio personalities and watching the wrong cable news network. They are the same people who adore Al Gore. Go figure.
Hal,
Thank you for your good wishes. Merry Christmas, peace and love to you and your family this season and in the New Year.

To all,
Have a very Blessed Christmas. Be careful travelling – parts of the U.S. are having treacherous weather. God bless us everyone. :)
