Ron Paul: The right to life precedes liberty
There is something that precedes liberty, and that is life.
If we are to defend liberty… you have to understand where that liberty, and where that life comes from.
It does not come from the government, it comes from our Creator.
~ Pro-life GOP presidential candidate and physician Ron Paul, as quoted by The Hill, August 13

So tell me mr. bo-jangles,
When your momma was pregnant with you, what species of embryo fetus was present in her uterus?
If the answer to that question is still above your paygrade, then I suggest you re-sign from your current position and find a job with compensation that is commensurate with your ignorance.

The concept of rights, as spelled out in the Declaration of Independence, is a definite challenge to those who favor big government and judicial legislation (eg Roe v Wade).
Too bad Paul is such an ultra-libertarian. Which just means he’s an extroverted hermit. The whole world could go up in flames as long it didn’t immediately affect the U.S.
Trouble is, those fires tend to eventually reach our doorstep. Better to put them out now.

Actually, abortion was legal before, during, and after the writing of the Declaration, as well as for the writing of the Constitution. In practice, the rights we now take for granted on the parts of anybody who isn’t a white, male landowner, weren’t considered to be there by most of the “Founding Fathers.”

I wasn’t sure what duces tecum meant so I googled it. I assume this is in reference to your belief that President Obama is not a natural born citizen because of his fathers legal status and what you believe to be President Obamas birthplace. Because his mother had status as a natural born citizen this would automatically give him the status of natural born citizen as well. So assuming your assumption is correct that President Obama was born in Kenya because of his moms legal status the same right would have been conveyed on him. Hope this helps.

Such as?
Rasqual, like the right to vote. People bring up the Declaration of Independence, but it’s not like things were “egalitarian” back then – far from it, in fact. The DOI (which has no force of law, anyway) was a way of telling King George to go screw himself, and the guys that wrote it may have had slaves, wifes or mistresses who had abortions, felt that “a good indian is a dead one,” etc. – were they *really* intent on social equality or “pro-life”? I don’t think so, I think they just wanted England “off our backs.”
What’s wrong with Ron Paul and the rest of the phony conservative politicians should be as plain as the nose on their faces. They lie, twist, deceive, and pretend to stand for what the majority of the Body of Christ stands for. They do this at the invitation of a majority of Christians who want to be lied to so they have someone they can vote for.
Let’s test Ron Paul’s pro-life stance. It’s a “State’s Rights” issue. OK, so if Texas decided as a State to vote for the killing of unborn children, then Ron Paul is OK with that. Further testing of his position reveals that Ron Paul would then be OK if Nebraska decided as a State to kill unborn children for any reason, just like NY did. Or how about testing his logic further by realizing Ron Paul would then have to be OK with murdering illegal immigrants, just because a State has a right to decide this.
Hey Ron, Do Not Murder was decreed long before the US, and State Constitution’s came along.
Flawed logic, flawed thinking, flawed candidate.
