Stanek weekend question: What message would you like to give Barack Obama on Father’s Day?

The Obama/Biden campaign is encouraging supporters to wish President Obama a Happy Father’s Day. What message would you like Obama to read?

Forgotten holiday?

There was a related tidbit by the Associated Press, in conjunction with Obama eating and (unpaid for) lunch with four winners of the “Lunch with Obama” on June 14:

Obama’s long-standing love affair with abortion doctors

President Barack Obama sees a villain underneath every corporate rock except the one beneath which the abortion industry hides. It is inconceivable to Obama that abortion doctors might have a profit motive that tempts nefarious activity. In Obama’s mind, the abortion industry is the only corporate entity that should be completely unregulated.

The White House’s May 30 statement in opposition to a ban against sex selective abortions not only misrepresented the bill, which specifically exempts an abortionist from affirmatively determining a mother’s motive for abortion, it gave abortionists carte blanche:

Obama still stuck on “war on women”

We don’t need another political fight about ending a woman’s right to choose, or getting rid of Planned Parenthood or taking away affordable birth control. We don’t need that. I want women to control their own health choices, just like I want my daughters to have the same economic opportunities as my sons. We’re not […]

Media ignores Obama’s failing focus on liberal social issues (like the new campaign video featuring Planned Parenthood CEO)

Here’s how it is for socially conservative Republican politicians.

If they broach the topic of abortion, liberals howl, “It’s the economy, stupid!” and proclaim them obsessed with divisive social issues.

And if they focus on fiscal issues, the media asks them questions about social issues and proclaim them obsessed anyway.

Now we have Barack Obama sinking in the polls only after making gay marriage, free contraception, and “choice” the centerpieces of his campaign, and the media doesn’t notice. It cannot be that a Democrat could possibly suffer politically by focusing on social issues. This narrative is reserved solely for Republicans.

Breaking: NARAL loves Obama

Yes, that’s breaking news, at least in NARAL’s opinion. An abortion PAC is backing the most pro-abortion president in history for reelection, shock!

NARAL’s video announcement was repugnant. It starts with with Obama asking, “Will our daughters grow up with the same opportunities as our sons? Will our daughters have the same rights?”

Obama carries on Marxist tradition with abortion policies

[W]hile conservatives tend to focus on matters of economics and excessive government growth and intervention, they’re missing crucial aspects of Obama’s social policy, vision, and rhetoric which, in fact, are arguably even closer to the Marxist/communist tradition….

The Bolsheviks advocated abortion. It was one of the first things they legalized. By the early 1920s, Bolshevik Russia had the most liberal abortion policies in the world. And what happened? Just like divorce, abortion exploded. In fact, the proliferation in abortions was so bad that it shocked even Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger during a trip to Russia in 1934. By the 1970s, when America was just getting around to legalizing abortion, the Soviet Union was averaging over 7 million abortions per year — dwarfing the very worst rates in America post-Roe v. Wade. The direct effect of this on the Russian population has been staggering.

Barack Obama, liberal feminism: What women don’t want

The Obama campaign and feminists must be freaking out. It turns out they bet badly that what women want are free abortions and contraceptives. What a blunder. There’s nothing left in the pro-abortion arsenal if American women don’t believe Republicans are out to take away their birth control. The other side has already admitted abortion is no longer a winning issue for them. What else do they have?

A New York Times/CBS poll in March showed Obama’s approval sinking among women, this after they launched their “Republicans are waging a war on women” strategy that was supposed to bulk up their support.

Then yesterday the NYT/CBS poll showed now Romney leading Obama among women 46-44%.

Multiple mistakes about Obama and the Born Alive Act in new book, “The Amateur”

Edward Klein’s unauthorized biography of Barack Obama, The Amateur, was released yesterday.

While I appreciate that Klein devoted a chapter of his book, albeit only three pages, to Obama’s opposition as state senator to the Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act, he got it pretty much all wrong. You can read the chapter at the link above, but here is the relevant section:
