Pro-life news brief 5-1-13

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat CNN covers Live Action’s “InHuman” videos. More are on their way. Working in the abortion industry is likely quite stressful at this point in time: “There definitely are more videos coming out,” Live Action Founder and President Lila Rose told CNN. “There’s likely going to be another one […]

Live Action “Inhuman” video #2: DC abortionist wouldn’t help survivors

2013-04-29_1103

The new Live Action investigation, “Inhuman: Undercover in America’s late-term abortion industry,” is proving what pro-lifers already knew: Kermit Gosnell was no outlier, as the abortion industry and media have tried to portray him. Both overt and covert killing of abortion survivors is a component of late-term abortions.

Yesterday, Live Action released the first video in its series, which revealed a Bronx, New York, abortion counselor stating her facility would plop abortion survivors into a toxic solution to kill them. She also recommended that the pregnant investigator “flush it” if her baby delivered at home.

Today, Live Action released a second video, this one of Washington, D.C., abortionist Cesare Santengelo of the Washington Surgi-Clinic acknowledging he knew the law required him to provide medical care to abortion survivors, but he would break it:

  • Republican senators in New York plan on blocking Governor Andrew Cuomo’s abortion legislation:

The Republican leader of New York state’s Senate said Tuesday that he will block any abortion proposal from Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whether it’s to allow later-term abortions or protect current standards.

“Expansion of late-term abortion is extreme, in my opinion. It’s not progressive, it’s extreme,” Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos said Tuesday.

Planned Parenthood’s one degree of separation from Gosnell’s 1972 “Mother’s Day Massacre”

harvey-karmanIn 1972, International Planned Parenthood Federation was one of two groups partnering with the country of Bangladesh to bring Dr. Harvey Karman (pictured right) and a small team of “abortion experts,” which included two IPPF doctors, to the newly formed country to commit abortions and train native doctors and paramedics how to commit them.

Abortion was Karman’s “consuming passion,” according to Salon, which acknowledged Karman wasn’t really any sort of doctor whatsoever but had simply “added a Ph.D. to his name, though his degree came from a dubious Swiss diploma mill.”

Arguing abortion, contraception as money-savers a “smokescreen”

So a brief blog post today on one of the more utilitarian reasons that I have heard for abortion/contraception – it saves money…. This sounds to me like something I heard from a colleague last year that the reason that New York’s prison population was down… because of Roe v Wade – since then, thousands […]

Pro-abortion mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to “save lives”

I got to defend my children and you and everybody else and do what’s right to save lives…. Obesity kills. There’s just no question about it. ~ Pro-abortion New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, reacting to a judge’s decision to revoke the city-wide ban on the sale of 16 oz. sodas, as reported by the […]

Saved: Sick “abortion battles” baby-killing video they tried to delete

2013-03-01_0748There was such an outcry over an “Abortion Battles” baby-killing game video posted on YouTube by students at Hunter College in New York, New York, that they have removed it.

But not so fast. Pro-lifer Meg saved it, and I have reposted it

Carhart patient’s cause of death: Him

2013-02-21_1152

From lohud.com yesterday:

A New Rochelle woman died of complications from a late-term abortion at a Maryland clinic, authorities confirmed Wednesday.

Jennifer Morbelli, 29, a schoolteacher in White Plains, bled to death after amniotic fluid in her womb spilled into her bloodstream, said Bruce Goldfarb, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office.

She was “left with the inability to clot blood to stop bleeding,” Goldfarb said.
