  • Judie Brown of American Life League calls out Cardinal Dolan’s hypocrisy in inviting President Obama to the Al Smith Dinner. While Dolan claimed on his own blog that dining with sinners is Christlike and that to disinvite opponents would leave him dining alone, Dolan declined an invitation to offer the opening prayer at a 2009 Pro-Life Wisconsin banquet because Brown (who has publicly castigated bishops) was going to be the keynote speaker:

On the one hand, he found it problematic that I led and continue to lead a campaign to beseech Catholic bishops to obey canon 915 and deny Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians. On the other hand, he finds it Christlike to dine with the most pro-abortion president in the history of this nation.

Romney, Ryan woo Obama’s vulnerable Catholic supporters

The title of Mitt Romney’s August 9 campaign ad, “Be Not Afraid,” was obviously intentional, a tip of the hat to Pope John Paul II’s favored words of Jesus. The ad itself was aimed at the important Catholic voting bloc, which supported Barack Obama by a margin of 54-45% in 2008.

Romney’s choice of Catholic Paul Ryan as his running mate is also partially intended to woo Catholics. As a social and fiscal conservative, Ryan draws a sharp contrast to pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-Obamacare Catholic Vice President Joe Biden.

Politico goes in-depth today on Obama’s vulnerability among Catholics this go-around:

  • At Ethika Politika, Mandy Jade Kramer describes the “real war on women”:

Femininity, not just femininity, but true femaleness, in its purest, most natural, genuine form, is being attacked. It is downright hated. Real life-giving, life-affirming, God given femaleness is being ragingly stamped out, and those who possess this trait (females) are punished and forced to change. Under the guise of equality with men, those who claim to advocate better, or equal, treatment for women, are actually not treating them equally to men at all. They are treating them worse.

  • In the Washington Times, Cathy Cleaver Ruse discusses the depths of Representative Jerrold Nadler’s ignorance:

Mr. Nadler did make one concession at the committee meeting. “On the other hand,” he said, “an 8-month-old fetus or a 9-month-old fetus, in my opinion, is a human being.” Some concession. Can we not in 2012 call even a nearly born infant a human being as a matter of fact rather than opinion?

  • The Washington Times has an article on Abby Johnson’s $5.7 million whistleblower lawsuit against Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast:

According to the lawsuit, PPGC contracted with the state to help prevent unwanted pregnancies among a population of eligible women. The clinics’ main service was to offer women an annual family-planning exam and consultation; only office visits “related to contraceptive management” were reimbursable by the Medicaid program, the lawsuit said.

However, owing to financial pressures of its own, PPGC leaders and staff collaborated to register all kinds of ineligible services — pregnancy tests, sexual-disease tests, Pap tests — for Medicaid reimbursement, the lawsuit claims, adding that the bosses admitted to Ms. Johnson and other clinic directors that these claims were not eligible for reimbursement, but told them, “We have to keep these people as patients” and “We must turn every call and visit into a revenue-generating client.”

Obama administration kills embryo adoption program, funds abortions for detainees

I don’t know how much more of this man I can take. This is an evil, evil administration.

President Barack Obama has cut funding to the embryo adoption program that President George W. Bush launched by in 2002. According to the Washington Times, March 4:
