  • Another former employee of Planned Parenthood of Delaware is set to testify about the dangerous practices at their clinic:

Former manager Melody Meanor and two nurses said they will testify today at a legislative hearing in Wilmington that Planned Parenthood failed to inform as many as 200 women that they tested positive for gonorrhea and chlamydia, and failed to notify 87 women of results of their colposcopies.

NARAL: It’s a “threat” to give free stuff to pregnant moms in need

[I]f the case were about transparency, then the City Council — and state legislators — should get busy passing legislation requiring abortion clinics to post how many abortions they have provided, how many women have been seriously injured or died in a clinic and whether the clinic has ever lost its license. That would be […]

Pro-life news brief 7-11-13

  • At National Review, Michael J. New discusses an increase in pro-life sentiment:

Three separate surveys by Rasmussen, Gallup, and NBC/Wall Street Journal show that support for the pro-life position has increased anywhere from four to eight percentage points since January.

  • PoiltiFact Ohio gives Rachel Maddow a “pants on fire” rating for her recent comments about a pro-life ultrasound law in Ohio:

In interpreting some of the budget’s more-ambiguous abortion language, Maddow contended that the new regulations included a “mandatory vaginal probe at the insistence of the state.”…

In other words, not only are external methods such as transabdominal ultrasounds allowed under the new law; they are required. That sinks Maddow’s claim of a “mandatory vaginal probe.”

We reached out to MSNBC and asked representatives if Maddow had anything more to say, but we did not hear back from them.

Carhart’s one-man abortion show: Who oversees patients when he’s occupied – like yesterday?

BillOneManBandBy all accounts – pro-life sidewalk observers and the clinic staff who talk to them – late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart works solo at his Germantown, Maryland, clinic. He has no partners, no back-up.

Carhart aborts a lot of late-term mothers. He delivers a lot of dead babies.

Late-term abortions are much more complicated and risky. Most recently, Jennifer Morbelli died February 7 following the abortion of her 33-week-old daughter Madison at Carhart’s clinic.

Yesterday, another of Carhart’s patients was taken from his clinic by ambulance. This was a late-term patient on the second day of her procedure, according to pro-lifers on the ground, who also saw Carhart get in the ambulance with her…

Live Action “Inhuman” investigative video #5: hotel room abortions

2013-07-01_1048

Today Live Action released the fifth in its Inhuman investigative video series on late-term abortions in America.

LA’ new video exposes an abortionist at Southwestern Women’s Options abortion clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico, admitting that part of the process of a late-term abortion may be delivering one’s expectantly dead baby alone in a hotel room (beginning at 3:55) – but in that event, for goodness sakes, don’t call 911….

  • Wesley J. Smith says that laws dealing with Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) “are increasingly authorizing doctors to unilaterally overturn surrogate wishes and patient advance directives….”

The laws vary from state to state, but in Vermont and Maryland, a physician can place a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order on a patient’s chart without the consent of the patient or designated patient advocate. Smith writes:

Not coincidentally, Vermont has a single payer healthcare plan it can’t pay for. Some have called for the cost savings to come from assisted suicide legalization – now done – and healthcare rationing.

Pro-life news brief 6-17-13

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat One of Steven Brigham’s Maryland abortionists had his license reinstated: Dr. Mansour Panah’s license has been restored…. Meanwhile, the board upheld the license suspension of Dr. Michael Basco while the license for a third doctor Iris Dominy is still in summary suspension. Police in Rome arrested two men […]
