What a wonderful story of hope and resurrection as we approach Easter Sunday!
That the abortion industry would tell mothers that aborting such children shows what a heartless and greedy business it is. Always looking for excuses to kill babies and make money. The problems Kayli has had healthwise are not even related to the Trisomy 18, for which abortions are often recommended because it is a “fetal anomaly”.
Families can find great joy in raising children with “fetal anomalies” and I should know because I helped raise a brother with a lot of physical and mental challenges. Had he been born a bit later he almost certainly would have been aborted. Also there are families who would gladly adopt such children and have done so with great joy.
In a culture of death, death is the answer to more and more problems in life. Those problems are solved illegally until they can be solved legally, as with Roe v Wade in 1973. Then it’s the elderly, the comatose, oh wait, we’re already doing that. And who decides who has “anomalies” or what those are? Who decides who is handicapped or disabled “enough” to die? Soon, it’s people who are hearing impaired, then people with two differently shaped ears……..
Death is not the answer to life. Life is the answer to life. As long as there is life there is hope. And when people choose life, we must encourage their hope by offering the practical help they need to raise their children or put them up for adoption.
If life is the answer, and it is, then we must be that answer and support life and be life for those who choose life.
