Pro-life vid of day: Megyn Kelly excoriates Gosnell attorney

Megyn Kelly grew heated during a segment on Wednesday afternoon when she interviewed Jack McMahon, the attorney for Kermit Gosnell, the abortion doctor convicted of murdering babies who were born alive following botched abortions. As McMahon denied many aspects of the case, Kelly expressed disgust at McMahon’s characterization of Gosnell as a “dream client” and “complete gentleman.”
Kelly responded to McMahon’s glowing review, saying, “Jack, I started off by saying we don’t tar the lawyers with the sins of clients, and that’s true. But listening to you, you sound like a guy who is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Because you seem to believe this is a swell man — notwithstanding the fact that he murdered little babies! … How do you come out and defend him now?”

(Denise) One characteristic they share is that they tend to be very polite. Although it is not characteristic of serial murderers, one that I write to have very beautiful handwriting. It reminds me of calligraphy. I showed it to my landlord who said, “This is so pretty I find it hard to believe it was written by a man, much less a vicious rapist and murderer.” I showed it to someone else who said, “It looks like something a lady would write.”
The invariably end letters with something like, “Hope you are well.” Around Christmastime, the serial rapist-murderer with the pretty handwriting ended an epistle, “I wish all of the joys of the holiday season to you and yours and you know to be alert and careful in all that you may do.”
Yes, it sounds almost funny because it is so jarring. It is not meant ironically or as any kind of veiled threat. They are just very polite and good manners among this group often sounds funny.

Funny, though, how even this lawyer supports a ban on late-term abortion, as warped as his reasoning may be, but NARAL and PP don’t.

And if things hadn’t “gone awry” those babies would STILL BE DEAD. I wonder if the anger some people in our society feel over Gosnell is because he killed the babies outside of the womb and not in the womb. I feel like they still don’t “get it” yet.

Maybe Megyn is right. McMayhem does sound like he has Stockholm Syndrome. Of course, how is one going to sound when they are trying to defend the indefensible?
Good job of Megyn to get after him and hold his feet to the fire. I know it’s a lawyer’s job to make a good defense for their client–which he didn’t–but to continue to defend this kind of behavior with the trial now over is even more reprehensible. Just too hard for him to admit that he was wrong, I guess.
“A little awry?” A fire getting away from you when you are burning over a field is “a little awry”. Deliberate cold-blooded murders and heartless “health care” in filthy and illegal conditions is inhuman.
I’m not so sure McMahon is any better than Gosnell.
Fox News failed terribly in its attempt during coverage of the Gosnell trial to associate him with all legal abortion.

Gosnell is the result of legal abortion. Why is that so hard for you to comprehend? Gosnell could run his murderous industry because he had the full blessing of the law and a state government that would not subject him, or any other “clinic”, to any kind of inspection or standards. What more could a criminal ask for?
Legalizing anything will never put the criminal element out of business. It only gives criminals opportunities they never dreamed possible.
For those who have their minds made up that elective abortion is okay, neither FOX nor anyone else could convince them of an association between Gosnell and all legal abortion.
From my observations, for those who are more open-minded, FOX News made a rather convincing connection. A lot of people are questioning abortion on demand that weren’t before, or are questioning it more seriously.
At least FOX News was actually covering the trial, BEFORE Kirsten Powers blasted the liberal media.
What pro-abortionists just can’t admit, because it’s too damaging, is that Gosnell is more rule than exception. Similar cases are coming out more since Gosnell, but there were plenty before that as well. Even the lamestream media couldn’t hide them. They are there for those who want to know. For those who don’t, it probably won’t convince them anyway.
