UPDATE, 1:45p: CO polls may have been way off tagging early voter preferences. First came this (click to enlarge):

But then came the first actuals, as reported today by National Review Online [HT: John G.]…

It could be argued almost all early voting independents went for Obama, basically 2:1. Ok. But I do wonder why then John McCain and Joe Lieberman are campaigning in CO as I type?

UPDATE, 1:05p: Liberal Sarah Posner in the liberal rag The American Prospect gave this high compliment yesterday in a column warning liberals conservatives haven’t been and won’t be stamped out:

The movement will not be dead on Nov. 5 regardless of the outcome tomorrow. It’s so easy to peg the movement’s vitality to presidential campaigns, but it’s really so much bigger than that.
As a reporter, the most fascinating and alarming feature of the movement is not its sway over one presidential campaign or another, but how this movement, which knows not blue state or red, evangelicalism or Catholicism, mainline Protestant or nondenominational megachurch, shapes so many Americans’ thinking and political dialog, whether about school prayer, creationism, public displays of religious symbols, proselytizing in schools, abortion, gay marriage, religious warfare and foreign policy.

Posner’s right. Our movement is based on the God of the Bible, and our movement will never die. In fact, as she senses, it will ultimately win because 1) we will never ever concede; and 2) God says He will make it so.
In the process, unlike liberals, we are quite prepared to die to defend He in Whom we believe. I’m reminded of this great scene from Braveheart:

This is the sort of conviction Posner and liberals find “fascinating and alarming.” They don’t have it, but they somehow know we do.

UPDATE, 8:35a: The McCain campaign has sued the State of VA, where the race is anticipated to be tight, for its apparent exclusion of military votes. According to Hamptonroads.com [HT: Drudge]:

The McCain suit… seeks an injunction to extend the date by which federal write-in absentee ballots must be received to be counted. The current deadline is today, but the suit seeks to have the date changed to Nov. 14.
Chesapeake, Suffolk and Virginia Beach are among the localities cited in the lawsuit as those that mailed absentee ballots overseas in late September. The suit argues that service members didn’t have enough time to cast their votes and return them stateside.
