You know I’m still looking forward to see a politician who’s not just talking the talk but walking the walk. I’m glad he personally considers these abortions to be wrong, but that doesn’t change the situation and doesn’t save a single unborn girl!
So, sex-selection abortion is bad, but doing something about it is not his responsibility. Lovely.
The facial expression on the fellow with the pink tie sitting down in the background is priceless! I think he knows Cameron is all talk, no walk!
That’s right… that’s riight… “Abortions on the basis of a child’s sex are wrong…”
And now, take the next step… “Abortions of ALL children are wrong!” Hello? I mean, ‘Ello, ‘ello?
But what if you could reasonably argue that x gender is more expensive, more inconvenient, more difficult to raise for whatever reason in a household of xyz gender distribution? I am glad this makes pro-aborts squirm, but it seems pretty arbitrary to me.
I agree with Hans here – once you acknowledge that sex selective abortion is wrong, you have to make that leap to the fact that all abortion is wrong. If a society is willing to allow abortion “on demand and without apology” and place a woman’s so-called right on a pedestal – then that society and/or law has no moral authority to say well you can have an abortion for any reason you want except if you want an abortion based on the sex of your child. And how would the law or anyone else enforce such a policy where abortion is legal anyway?
This should make the pro-aborts very uncomfortable because it’s an unavoidable consequence of the policies they support, and nothing can be done about it without questioning the woman’s “right” to abortion in the first place. I’m sure abortion supporters understand this quite well which is why no politician or prosecutor wants to touch the case with a ten foot pole, despite their being ample evidence for conviction.
