Pro-life vid of the day: Abortion ambivalence

The left-wing online magazine Vox recently conducted a poll on the issue of abortion, finding that 39% didn’t strictly identify as pro-life or pro-choice. The final take in the article was to run with the misgivings of this “mushy middle” by further accomodating the ease of obtaining abortions with more clinics. Not so curiously, the writer glossed over the most agreed-upon poll answer: 90% want the mother to be fully informed on this procedure.
This is indeed the crux of the matter. The more the actual “procedure” is considered, the more pro-life the sentiments tend to be. The more one steps back and looks away toward the feelings of the mother and society at large, the more pro-choice one is. But this gray area doen’t exist for other issues of a right or wrong commited on an innocent victim.

So… what if they asked them; “If a child in the womb could feel, just the way you can feel, would it be okay to cause the intense pain that an abortion causes a pain-capable pre-mature child… just because they are in-utero at the time the pain is caused?
Is that okay?
What would Rand Paul, or Ted Cruz or any of the other Republican Candidates say in regards to the pain capable child protection act??? What would most Americans? Most pro-“choices” i talked to, most of them being good christians(for the most part), told me they thought a woman should get an abortion as soon as she finds out she’s pregnant. I disagree and think the moment of conception is sacred, but I don’t think most find abortion after a certain point, responsible or humane, especially when the point of inflicting injury on a pre-mature child is being protected by current “women’s choice” laws.

This is common in cultures that are direly confused about social injustice.
The pro-slavery folks talked about distant concerns like economic sustainability, states’ rights, constitutional rights, and cultural tradition. The anti-slavery folks talked about the personal suffering of individual slaves and families.
Same for those who supported segregation and apartheid. It seemed good for the culture. It was only bad for people.
In Europe before WWII, there was widespread support for a separate Jewish nation, where all the Jews could go to practice their own laws and culture and religion, freeing Europe to be purer race and culture.
With abortion — the more we hide the children behind shrouds of “freedom” and “rights,” the easier it is to kill them.
