Lunch Break: Connor Bourke and faces of hope
by LauraLoo
Connor Bourke has a rare form of brain cancer called gliomatosis cerebri. Medical prognosis for the cancer is generally poor, but Connor and his family know they are in the midst of a battle of a lifetime and are confident that Connor will win. Unwavering faith keeps Connor’s family hopeful, community support and prayers keep them moving ahead while generous acts of kindness fill Connor’s heart and soul with love and determination.

Keep fighting, Connor! God Bless the Bourke family.
Somebody should get him a prayer cloth. And hopefully they know about hugs and hope it’s an organization that helps people who have a serious diagnosis. They really do a lot of good.
Dear Conner
Today I read about the trouble you are having and thought I would send some happy thoughts your way.
Thoughts of health and healing that will carry you through your day.
Thoughts of friends and laughter and the things that make life worth living
Sometimes we go through things and we just can’t understand
But God walks us through them and always has a plan.
So I’m sending you some joyful thoughts and then I’ll send some more
and hope that you can use them when you kick gliomatosis cerebri out the door.
When you’ve done this noble deed and sent gliomatosis cerebri a packing
Tell him he’s not welcome and your brain he won’t be hacking
Then you thinks those happy thoughts and point them straight his way
and you can do a little laugh as he slowly goes away
My son had ALL and has been in remission now for 10 years. Since he was 10 he stopped walking three times and now not only those he walk but he walks well. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
