West: Obama ‘a black mascot’ and ‘black puppet’

Cornel West, a Princeton University professor and leading black intellectual, is harshly criticizing President Obama, a candidate he once supported but now calls “a black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.”
West, a former Harvard University professor, said during an interview with the website Truthdig posted yesterday that the president has not been true to his race.
“
I think my dear brother Barack Obama has a certain fear of free black men,” West said. “It’s understandable. As a young brother who grows up in a white context, brilliant African father, he’s always had to fear being a white man with black skin. All he has known culturally is white…When he meets an independent black brother, it is frightening.”
I remember a radio interview from several years ago with a man who claimed to be a former homosexual who had been restored to heterosexuality by Jesus.
One of the first callers challenged the man by charging he had never been a real homosexual.
The man responded by saying he had trysts with hundreds of homosexual lovers. How many homosexual encounters must he be required to have before he would be qualified as a ‘legitimate’ homosexual?
[There is no ‘litmus test’ for homosexuality. You cannot analyze blood, urine or DNA to make an objective diagnosis. It is a determination made by observation.]
b o, like West and most americans [including me], is the product of race mixing. That is why America is known as the ‘melting pot’; a place where DNA and cultures combine.
According to Cornell West, b o is not ‘culturally black’.
What percentage of ‘black’ African DNA does one have to possess before he/she qualifies to be ’culturally black’?
Does one have to be an ‘American’ first, have slave blood, and possess African DNA before he/she is minimally eligible to assert a claim to be ‘culturally’ black?
Does one then have to demonstrate a sense of rhythm, proficiency in ebonics, have no father listed on his/her birth certificate and present proof of voting democRAT before she/he is offically recognized as being ‘culturally black’?

b o spikes the ball yet one more time and, in the process, uses the personal pronoun ‘I‘ thirty seven times in the course of a speech purportedly given to thank CIA personel for their contribution to the takedown of Oama bin Laden.
The Obama campaign bus continues to make another victory lap around the track with the bullet ridden head of Osama bin Laden afixed to the front like a hood ornament on a 1953 Pontiac.
Almost hidden from sight are the well worn bodies of family, friends and political allies who were unceremoniously thrown under the b o’s bus when they were considered political liabilities or they had simply outlived their usefullnes.
Like the ‘Energizer Bunny’ in a NASCAR mockumentary, b o’s campaign bus just keeps going round and round and round…
Ken, you left out the best part of the article:

You’re going to be the last angry man, shaking your fist in the air, wondering how so many of your beloved countrymen could have re-elected such a leader. Things are going well, relax and enjoy the weekend.

When the world does not end on saturday may 21st, will b o coming cruising in on his campaign bus and attempt to take credit?
Or will b o be pro-active and issue an executive order prohibiting the entropy of the planet?
Or will b o say the planet can only be saved by even higher taxes and increased deficit spending and killing more pre-natal children and repealing dont ask/don’t tell?

I have no illusions as to how gullible and short sighted and self serving some of the american electorate can be.
But the far left is unhappy with b o’s lack of reliability. b o just announced that due to limited size of the man made disaster in Libya it does not come under the jurisdiction of the War Powers Act and he does not need to consult Congress.
Peter Fonda and Sean Penn are gonna love that.
The mushy moderates are not seeing any improvement in the ‘misery index’.
In fact the indicators show it worsening.
The young idealists who voted for the first black president expecting hope and change have to be disappointed and hopefully they will become dis-illusioned. pigmentation has nothing to do with b o’s disappointing performance. He would be incompetent in any ethnicity, gender or age.
Just wait til some of these folks try to finance their first home and encounter double digit interest rates. But to qualify for a loan they will have to have earn enough income to satisfy the lender.
Inflation is starting to kick in at an accelerating pace.
Expect to see b o’s popularity tied to the economy as it continues it’s decline.
The conservative part of the country is motivated to do a repeat of the 2010 elections. They may not be enthused about some of the republicans but they sure as heck won’t be voting for a democRAT.
I went to sell some scrap copper last week. The price of #1 copper had fallen from almost four dollars a pound to less than three dollars. The price of scrap copper is a realiable economic indicator. Much more so that gold or silver.
Demand for copper is down because inventories are shrinking due to uncertainty about the econmy.
But you just keep drinking the Kool Aid and keep telling yourself all is well in Camelot.
