Quote of the Day 11-25-09
![]()
Denying low income women reproductive coverage in this way is discriminatory and dangerous. Without proper coverage, women will be forced to postpone care, while attempting to find the money they need to pay for it. Or these women will be forced to return to dangerous, back alley providers. Women and girls deserve better.
~Pro-abortion U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), pictured above with her family in 2008, protesting the Stupak/Pitts pro-live amendment to the House healthcare bill, as quoted by The Queens Gazette, November 25

Don’t you just love the way liberals use words like “care” and “reproductive health” instead of ABORTION, and call abortionists “providers.”
She just can’t bring herself to use the “a” words.
She’s up for reelection in 2010 and she’s one of many liberals I hope is defeated.
She makes it sound like they won’t be getting prenatal care and, even odder, she makes it sound like low income individuals even blip on her radar. Weird.
Women and girls deserve better. I agree. Better than abortion.
“Dangerous, back alley providers?”
Like Hodari? Carhart?
What is it, Senator Gillibrand? WHAT IS IT?
What is that in the womb? You don’t dare answer.
How many people who talk about back-alley abortions have first hand experience or know a mother or aunt or friend who experienced it. They CHOOSE it by the way. Bad choice, maybe?
Sen, Gillibrand (D-NY) should know that not having pre-natal insurance coverage does not relieve a woman of her responsibility to provide prenatal care. No one is “forcing her to postpone care. There are plenty of resources out there.
Discrimination? Anyone can cry discrimination but it doesn’t make it so.
The dishonesty of pro-aborts continues to rear its bloated head.
How thee heck does lack of the government paying for an abortion force a woman into a back-alley abortion?
Pro-aborts are so programmed to spew their talking-points they don’t even know what they’re saying anymore.
Mom: I need an abortion.
Abortionist: The government won’t pay for it. Do you have money?
Mom: I don’t have money.
Abortionist: We can’t help you.
Mom: I need an abortion.
Back-alley abortionist: Do you have money?
Mom: I don’t have money.
Back-alley abortionist: We can’t help you.
This is the ultimate in compartmentalization
Well this is very interesting. Rasmussen reports that Rudy Giulini, who hasn’t even declared he is running, is leading her 53% to 40%.
Although he is pro abort also, I would like to see him get in the race since he very well could defeat her, and it would mean one less Democrat in the Senate.
And Rudy is great on national security and probably fiscally conservative.
He’s probably the Republicans best hope to flip that seat.
How can she stand their smiling with her children while acting like other women don’t deserve that too? Like since she is a rich politician HER children are special and can live, but if you’re poor…well, then be off to the abortion clinic and quick! What a cold-hearted woman!
Nothing about her quote makes sense. “Reproductive coverage” or “abortion coverage” ? Which is it Ms. G? Forced to postpone ‘care’… do you mean PRE-NATAL care? “these women will be forced to return to dangerous, back alley providers.” Back alley ABORTIONISTS, you mean? Which is it that concerns you, Ms. Gillibrand? Prenatal care for mothers who want their babies to live, or abortions for mothers who want to kill their babies? You don’t even know what you’re saying.
I agree, Sydney, her smile seems to say “See? I let these two LIVE! Isn’t that big of me?”
I’ve resigned myself to the fact that tens of millions of women are too ________ (fill in the blank) stupid, ignorant, lonely, angry, deceived, drugged out, liquored up, or whatever to keep their legs together.
Too true, Scott. And of course, the answer is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Scott,
Any comments about men or is just all about women?
It does take two, yes?
Some men are too callous and cowardly to man up and help a woman in need with the new life they created. Others wanted their babies desperately but had no say.
Amen, Jamie.
The distortion of language makes me ill. “Reproductive coverage.” “Care.” George Orwell would be proud.
